New York Jets Odds: Did Drafting Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Jermaine Johnson II Change Anything?

New York fans are in awe. The New York Jets just added three first-round picks onto its roster for 2022.

The Jets selected cornerback Ahmad 'Sauce" Gardner with the fourth pick, brought in wide receiver Garrett Wilson with the 10th pick, and then traded up for Jermaine Johnson II with the 26th pick of the NFL Draft. The Jets added a whole bunch of needs and added game-changing talent to their roster.

Not only did they get impact players, but these players play some of the most premium positions in the game. It was quite the start to the 2022 draft for the Jets. With those additions, the Jets still have a long way to go before they'll be competitive. But there's hope after all.

New York Jets Odds

AFC East Division Winner Odds

Jets +2000 (Bet $100 to win $2000)

The New York Jets are still the "laughing stock" of the league. However, with the new additions, the Jets can surprise. Zach Wilson will now have legitimate talent to throw the ball between Elijah Moore, Garrett Wilson, and Corey Davis. Braxton Berrios could also be solid in the slot.

The Jets should have a healthy offensive line. That line starts with needing Mekhi Becton to be able to play left tackle. The Jets also already added CJ Uzomah at tight end during the off-season and got better on the defensive end with Johnson and Gardner along with new players like Jordan Whitehead.

The Jets are going to be competitive in this division. That's all I'm trying to say.

AFC Conference Winner Odds

Jets +8500 (Bet $100 to win $8500)

Nothing has really changed here. The Jets are the second-to-last team projected to win the AFC Conference. The Jacksonville Jaguars have odds sitting at +4400.

The disrespect!

The Jets are better than that but I wouldn't advise taking this bet. The Jets aren't going to be better than Buffalo, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Denver, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Cincinnati, or Tennessee.

But they can be good enough to potentially get a Wild Card spot and make the playoffs with these new additions. It'll be interesting to see how quickly these three first-rounders can adjust and develop.

Super Bowl Winner Odds

New York Jets +15000 (Bet $100 to win $15000)

The Jets aren't getting any love here. The Jets have a better chance to win the Super Bowl over the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans. But every other team has better or the same odds as the Jets.

The Lions are at +15000 while the Seahawks, Jaguars, Bears, and Panthers are all +10000 to win the Super Bowl. After the Jets' offseason, I'd put them in that same group at +10000. So there's value on the Jets but uh.... they're not winning the Super Bowl this year!
