The NFL loves to make things interesting in Week 1. On Monday Night Football, Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos will take on the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle. Wilson was traded from Seattle to Denver in the offseason, for those unaware. He took Seattle to multiple Super Bowls and earned a ring with the Seahawks. Seattle's got die-hard fans. So it'll be interesting to see how much support and/or boos he receives throughout tonight's game.

It'll also be interesting to see how Wilson plays tonight. Will his mind let him down, or will he play elite because he's finally on a new team? Let's preview tonight's matchup by looking at the Los Angeles Rams vs. Buffalo Bills odds via BetMGM. We'll also throw in a pick for those interested.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos Prediction

Russell Wilson left Seattle because he was tired of getting hit behind a terrible offensive line. He was right about Seattle's offensive line. They were terrible in pass protection, leading to Wilson being hit a lot more than other elite quarterbacks. He was tired of it, so he finally demanded a trade out of Seattle. He made a business move and will now play behind a much better offensive line.

The Broncos already developed a solid running game last year behind Javonte Williams. We don't know if Williams will get the bulk of carries or if he'll share with Melvin Gordon tonight, however, Williams is clearly a better running back than Wilson was used to playing with in Seattle.

However, Seattle was pretty good against the run last season and could end up keeping the Broncos away from big gains on the ground. Still, Seattle's coverage on defense lacked, and now the Broncos are much better in the passing game with Wilson under center.

On the other hand, Denver was not great against the run and struggled defensively in all categories. The Broncos had an elite special teams unit that won them some games last year, but overall, the Broncos didn't defend well enough.

Wilson should be able to help Denver's defense by essentially scoring more points. He'll also be able to move the ball more down the field, giving the defense a better chance at earning stops with many yards to play with. No one can predict Russell Wilson's emotions during the game. He's a pro and has played in many significant moments. Therefore, I don't think he'll be mentally unprepared. I'll side with the Broncos at -6.5.
