5 Most Popular Bets and Prop Bets for Monday Night Football: New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys
The New York Giants are off to a 2-0 start so far this year. To say it was unexpected for the Giants would be putting it lightly but Brian Daboll has his team playing incredible football right now.
Dallas lost in Week 1 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in ugly fashion but then looked really good with Cooper Rush at quarterback in Week 2 as they upset the Bengals. Which version of the Cowboys will we see on Monday Night Football tonight?
Here's a look at the five most popular bets and prop bets for The New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys.

5 Most Popular Bets and Prop Bets for Monday Night Football
1. Giants -1
Team | Spread | Bets% | Handle% |
---|---|---|---|
Giants | -1 | 58% | 61% |
61% of the money is on the Giants to cover the spread. Brian Daboll's team is off to a 2-0 start where they covered both times including an upset win on the road in Week 1. Since the start of 2020, the Giants have done well in the division against the spread going 7-5 for a 58.3% cover percentage. Over that same span, the Cowboys are also 7-5 ATS in the NFC East as well and have a 62.5% cover percentage as an underdog.
2. Over 39.5
Bet | Total | Bets% | Handle% |
---|---|---|---|
Over | 39.5 | 56% | 63% |
The point total is low at just 39.5 but 63% of the money is on the Giants and Cowboys to clear the total. In theory, these teams don't necessarily score a ton as the Giants are 16th in the league in points while Dallas is 32nd. Naturally, the over will likely clear because the NFL is strange and when you think an under is coming, the teams come out of nowhere to produce points. Daniel Jones vs. Cooper Rush on Monday Night Football? To the over!
Saquon Barkley 1st Touchdown +600 (Bet $100 to win $600)
Saquon Barkley is 6/1 to score the first touchdown for tonight's game. He is the most talented offensive player on the field tonight and through two games of the season, Brian Daboll has expressed his love for running the football. Barkley didn't score in Week 2 but his Week 1 performance saw him find the endzone and put up 194 all-purpose yards.
Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown -120 (Bet $120 to win $100)
In six career games against the Cowboys, Saquon Barkley has just one touchdown. It's been a while since Barkley was healthy so you have to take that into consideration as well. The value isn't there at -120, he's the favorite to find the endzone tonight but when looking at the likely offensive gameplan, it would be hard to see the Giants coming out throwing tonight.
Saquon Barkley over 22.5 receiving yards -115 (Bet $115 to win $100)
Barkley cleared this number in the first game but in Week 2 he had just 16 receiving yards. He was targeted four times in the loss and had three catches. With Daniel Jones likely checking down tonight I think he should clear this number. His yards per reception has been low this year at just 5.1. Eventually, that has to even out.
