Los Angeles Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys Breakdown
The Los Angeles Rams may be suffering from the good ole' Super Bowl hangover. Matthew Stafford and co. haven't been themselves through the 2022-23 NFL season's first month. The Rams have been throttled by the two upper-tier teams that they've faced this season in the form of the Buffalo Bills back in week one and most recently, the San Francisco 49ers, last Monday night. Stafford, fresh-off elbow surgery this past summer has seen the former #1 overall pick struggle mightily, thus far as the Georgia product leads the NFL with six (6) interceptions to go with just four (4) touchdowns through four weeks. The defense hasn't been much better as the club's 'vaunted' secondary has given up 249.3 passing yards, this season, good for just 20th in the entire league.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys are one of the most feel-good stories through the season's first month (not a joke...for once). Jerry Jones' squad had a nightmare opening weekend as Dallas lost 19-3 at home to Tampa Bay on Sunday Night Football back in week one and to add even more salt in the wound, QB, Dak Prescott suffered a hand injury, which he's still recovering from. But never fear, Cooper Rush is here. The 28-year-old career backup has steadied the ship and helped the team compile a 3-0 record in Prescott's absence, thus far. The defense in Dallas is REAL as the Cowboys hold the sixth-ranked defense in the league on a yards-per-game basis (308.5) while coming in at third when it comes to points per game allowed (15.5).
