NFL Super Bowl Odds: Can Jalen Hurts and the Eagles Catch Up to Josh Allen, Bills?

The Philadelphia Eagles have surprised the NFL this season. Philadelphia is currently 5-0 on the year and the favorite to win the NFC.

Before the season began, the Eagles had +3300 odds of winning the Super Bowl. After five games, those odds have changed drastically.

Meanwhile, teams like the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys have watched their odds fall since the beginning of the season.

Here's a look at the updated Super Bowl Odds.

NFL Super Bowl Odds After Week 5

TeamBest Odds
Buffalo Bills+400
Philadelphia Eagles+700
Kansas City Chiefs+750
Tampa Bay Buccaneers+1200
Green Bay Packers+1400
San Francisco 49ers+1400
Baltimore Ravens+1800
Los Angeles Chargers+2000
Minnesota Vikings+2200
Cincinnati Bengals+3000
Miami Dolphins+4000

Are the Eagles Legitimate Contenders?

The Eagles are currently 5-0 and look like the best team in the NFL. Their biggest scare came against the Cardinals last week, but eventually, the Eagles forced a missed field goal late in the fourth quarter to prevail.

Philadelphia's strength of schedule is weak, but the NFC East has two other teams with four wins to begin the year.

Time will tell. But for now, the Eagles are clear threats to win the NFC. However, I wouldn't say they're better than Buffalo now. I would just wait to bet on the Eagles. Those odds will fall once the Eagles lose a couple of games.

Is there a Sleeper Team?

There are plenty of sleeper teams in the NFL. Through a quarter of the season, the New York Giants are 4-1 with odds of +8500. They opened at +7000 and have dropped despite winning four games to begin the year.

The Tennessee Titans are currently 3-2 on the season and have +6000 to win the Super Bowl. The Titans were the best team in the AFC last season.

Either way, the NFL has been more competitive than in years past. Things will be interesting!
