Jalen Ramsey Next Team Odds: Raiders, Lions the Early Favorites to Trade for Ramsey

Jalen Ramsey is on the move. The All-Pro cornerback is expected to be traded by the Los Angeles Rams, and the books believe it’s already down to just two teams. The Las Vegas Raiders are the early favorites, but the Detroit Lions aren’t far behind.

Ramsey has been an essential asset to Los Angeles over the past four years. The star cornerback logged career-highs in tackles, sacks, and forced fumbles in this season alone. Jalen has been at the top of the depth chart for a reason; he really is that good.

Winning the Super Bowl in 2022, the Rams did not put on the performance this year that was expected. However, that doesn't mean they would trade away Ramsey for something insignificant. It would need to be the perfect trade package.

Here are the most realistic teams that Jalen Ramsey could go to if Los Angeles trades him away.

Jalen Ramsey Next Team Odds

Las Vegas is given EVEN odds, or an implied 50% chance to land Ramsey. Imagine the Raiders landing another massive trade after their huge Davantae Adams trade last year. If Vegas can find a way to add a talented signal caller and add Ramsey, it would help them become a real competitor.

Meanwhile, the Lions are given +125 odds or an implied 44.4% chance. They are the runaway favorites to get a deal done. With third place, the Cincinnati Bengals, coming in at +900 or an implied 10% chance.

There are other intriguing longshots on the market too. Could a move to Houston be in the cards? The Texans are given +1200 odds, or an implied 7.7% chance. Could Ramsey and Bill Belichick coexist? New England is given +1200 odds. What about a move in the division? The Seattle Seahawks are given +1400 odds to land Ramsey.

Jalen Ramsey has an argument for being the best cornerback in the NFL. One would expect his market to be robust, but the books don’t see it that way. The Raiders and Lions are the only teams given a real chance to get him, with the Bengals an outsider looking in. It’s the smallest market for any would-be moved player this offseason.

Saquon Barkley, Derek Carr, Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Fields have bigger markets. Is that because the Rams are making progress on a move, or is it because there just isn’t much interest in the soon-to-be 29-year-old cornerback?
