Justin Fields Next Team Odds: Saints Given 25% Chance to Land Justin Fields if Bears Trade

The rumor mill is swirling. This morning Adam Schefter reported that the Chicago Bears have already gotten calls about what it would take to land the No. 1 pick in the draft. But what if the Bears decide to use that pick on the widely expected first-overall pick Bryce Young? Where could that put Justin Fields? The sportsbooks have a few ideas.

Justin Fields Next Team Odds

The Saints are the early favorite at +300, or an implied 25% chance. The Bucs and Falcons are tied at second with +500 odds, or an implied 16.7% chance. The Colts and Texans aren’t far behind either at +600 or an implied 14.3% chance.

In total, nine teams are given at least a 10% chance to land Fields. That’s the most of any player currently given a next-team market. More than Aaron Rodgers, Derek Carr, Lamar Jackson, and Daniel Jones. One thing that’s notable is the books don’t care if a team shares a conference with the Bears. The top-3 favorites to land Fields are all in the NFC, and of the 11 teams on the market, six are from the NFC.

Bryce Young is almost certainly going first overall. The books don’t believe it’s really in question, with Young given -130 odds to go first overall. So the question becomes, will the Bears make the pick, or will someone else? Rumors have been spread about both potential outcomes. With the combine upon us, it’s time to start asking this question seriously. Will the Bears consider trading Justin Fields? He’s only 5-20 as a starter. Fields has 34 total touchdowns to 28 total turnovers. The QB has a 13.4% sack rate, a 79.7 passer rating, and a 59.7% completion percentage for his career. Yes, his running ability is special, rivaled by only Lamar Jackson, but is it enough? The books aren’t convinced.
