The New York Jets were underdogs when the first lines came out. But sharps hammered the Jets to -2 for this game.
New York will have the more experienced quarterbacks, leaving many sports bettors to believe that the Jets will put together more sustainable drives.
Jets vs. Browns Prediction
It's already been confirmed that the Jets will start Zach Wilson for tonight's game. He likely won't play all of the game and probably won't see any reps in the second half. However, New York still has Tim Boyle and Chris Streveler on the roster. Both of these quarterbacks have had success in the preseason in previous seasons.
On the other hand, the Browns have an intriguing backup quarterback competition. Kellen Mond will get the first-half reps, and Dorian Thompson-Robinson will get the second-half reps.
Thompson-Robinson is a rookie out of UCLA. You'd expect Thompson-Robinson to make more mistakes than Boyle or Streveler. It'll be Thompson-Robinson's first professional opportunity at quarterback.
Therefore, the Jets have more strength at quarterback. Although many believe Zach Wilson is a bust, he's certainly more talented than Kellen Mond. He'll also have Mekhi Becton on his offensive line for the first couple of drives.
Therefore, I'll ride with the Jets in this one.
