Week 2 NFL Power Rankings: Rankings the Top 10 Teams Heading Into Week 2

Well, the NFL Week 1 was something special. We saw upsets and players dominating for their team. Matt McCuen shares his NFL Top 10 Power Rankings for Week 2.

NFL Top 10 Power Rankings Into Week 2

1. San Francisco 49ers

No team was more impressive than the 49ers in Week 1. San Francisco completely dominated the Steelers on both sides of the football and was the best team in football in Week 1.

2. Philadelphia Eagles

I am moving the Eagles down from number one, but the bottom line is that they still won their season opener and even covered. It was an ugly game at times, but this remains the best roster in football when healthy.

3. Miami Dolphins

Miami surely has some work to do on defense, but after what we saw from them in week one offensively, they deserve to be in the top three at the moment. Tyreek Hill won a lot of people's fantasy matchups in Week 1, catching 11 balls for 225 yards and two touchdowns.

4. Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City was missing their two best players, not named Patrick Mahomes, in Week 1, which is why I am only moving them down two spots. This remains the team to beat in the AFC, and they will bounce back with Chris Jones and Travis Kelce back in the lineup.

5. New York Jets

The New York Jets just beat the Buffalo Bills with Zach Wilson playing quarterback. With all due respect to Wilson, that proves how deep and talented this team is. New York turned Josh Allen over four times in the win. The Jets will certainly need to upgrade the quarterback spot, but this is a Super Bowl-contending roster.

6. Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore came out a bit sluggish but ended up blowing out a bad Texans team. Baltimore will have to recover from a few tough injuries, but they remain a top-six team in my eyes, led by Lamar Jackson.

7. Detroit Lions

Detroit did not play their best game, but they still went into the defending champs home and won a prime-time game. This team will only get better as the year goes on, which is why I have moved them into my top ten.

8. Cleveland Browns

The Browns' defense was as impressive as any in Week 1. Cleveland dominated one of the top offenses in football, which is why they are in the top ten this week.

9. Dallas Cowboys

Dallas impressed on defense, as their defense was the best in all of football in Week 1. The offense, on the other hand, struggled mightily. The Giants beat themselves just as much as the Cowboys won that game.

10. New Orleans Saints

The Saints' offense has some work to do, but they showed how dominant they are on the defensive side of the football. I have to keep New Orleans in my top ten.
