NFL Defensive Team Rankings Heading Into Week 15

32. Arizona Cardinals

Arizona has allowed 25 points per game this season with only 32 sacks on the year.

31. Denver Broncos

Denver has allowed 377.4 yards per game this season.

30. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Although the Bucs have allowed 20.2 points per game, Tampa Bay has still allowed over 362 yards per game.

29. Washington Commanders

Washington has given up nearly 28 points per game with only six interceptions.

28. Cincinnati Bengals

If the Bengals didn't have a pass rush, the defense would be the worst in the NFL.

27. Tennessee Titans

The Titans lucked out on Monday with a three-and-out against the Dolphins late in the game. But they still allowed 27 points to Miami.

26. Chicago Bears

The Bears are gradually improving thanks to 15 interceptions this year. However, 21 sacks this season won't cut it.

25. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have one of the worst secondaries in football.

24. Carolina Panthers

Carolina has allowed nearly 24 points per game and has earned just 20 sacks with seven interceptions.

23. New England Patriots

New England's defense probably looks worse than it is due to the offense. Every time they go out on the field, there's pressure on this defense.

22. Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers only have seven interceptions this year.

21. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have at least forced 16 fumbles. However, Indianapolis has only come away with eight of those forced fumbles.

20. Detroit Lions

The Lions only have 28 sacks and have allowed over 225 yards passing per game this season.

19. Houston Texans

Houston just allowed Zach Wilson and the Jets to score 30 points in the pouring rain.

18. New York Giants

While New York has improved, the Giants have still given up 361.4 yards per game with 22.6 points per game.

17. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars have earned 24 turnovers but only 27 sacks.

16. Seattle Seahawks

Seattle has given up 123.4 yards per game on the ground.

15. Green Bay Packers

The Packers only have six interceptions this season. They've also allowed 141.8 yards on the ground.

14. Las Vegas Raiders

Las Vegas has only allowed 19.5 points per game. The offense needs to help them out a bit.

13. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have allowed 353.9 yards per game on defense. This isn't the defense that may have thought the Eagles would have coming into the season.

12. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are potentially overrated. But they've also allowed just 16.6 points per game this season. That's third-best.

11. Atlanta Falcons

Atlanta could use more interceptions and sacks. But they've still kept teams to below 20 points per game.

10. Minnesota Vikings

Minnesota has secretly kept the Vikings in the playoff race, allowing only 17.7 points per game this season.

9. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have 13 interceptions this season.

8. New Orleans Saints

The Saints have 14 interceptions, along with eight fumbles. However, they've earned only 23 sacks this entire season.

7. Cleveland Browns

The Browns have a lot of injuries on defense. However, they've given up only 263 yards per game.

6. Buffalo Bills

Buffalo has 42 sacks with 12 interceptions and has allowed only 18.5 points per game.

5. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have 42 sacks with 12 interceptions but have improved in the last few months.

4. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys' defense didn't allow the Eagles to score a touchdown last week. They allowed 17.3 points per game with 39 sacks and 13 interceptions. The Cowboys have also added six defensive touchdowns.

3. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens lead the NFL in sacks with 49. They've also added 19 turnovers and have allowed just 104.2 yards per game on the ground.

2. New York Jets

The Jets just made C.J. Stroud look like a backup quarterback last week. When the Jets don't turn the ball over and have success offensively, the New York defense will dominate.

1. San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco has allowed only 78.3 yards per game on the ground. The 49ers have also earned 40 sacks with 17 interceptions and six more fumbles.
