2024 NFL Draft Order: A Breakdown of the Complete 2024 NFL Draft Order

The 2024 NFL Draft spectacular will air live from Detroit on Thursday night. All eyes will be on the order of the top few quarterbacks, but there is much more at stake after the initial fireworks.

The order of the draft picks is initially based on a teams record each year, with the worst teams drafting higher than the playoff squads to ensure competitive balance. However, teams have the ability to trade future draft picks to acquire better positioning and jockey for a coveted talent.

For this reason, many of the picks are out of order with team records, especially later on in the draft. Some teams won't have a first or second round pick because they traded it in previous drafts, and others have a stockpile in the first few rounds. Every organization uses their draft capital differently, and the order is subject to change in the coming days as the trade market heats up on draft night.

Let's take a look at the current 2024 NFL Draft order, and see how each club will look to strategize their draft for the coming season.
