NFL Fantasy Start Em, Sit Em: 20 Players to Start or Sit in Week 6

With more bye weeks on this week's schedule, finding players who can produce off the bench or from the waiver wire is more crucial than ever.

I've added 20 players to start or sit as we approach Week in the NFL season.

Quarterbacks To Play in Week 6

1. Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons

2. Daniel Jones, New York Giants

3. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

Don't miss the opportunity to play Mr. 500 against the Carolina Panthers' defense. I'd also recommend Daniel Jones.

He just put up his best fantasy performance against the Seahawks last week and didn't even have Malik Nabers. This offense is really starting to figure things out, and there shouldn't be any issues scoring against Cincinnati's defense.

Finally, let's give some love to Caleb Williams. He finally made some elite throws in Week 5 against Carolina and will have another good matchup against the Jaguars to continue his rookie season momentum.

Quarterbacks To Sit in Week 6

4. Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks

5. Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

I wouldn't bother playing either of these quarterbacks in a rivalry game, off a loss, on a short week.

The options above are better.

Running Backs To Play in Week 6

6. Devin Singletary, New York Giants

7. Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals

8. Austin Ekeler, Washington Commanders

Devin Singletary will likely be back heading into Week 6. If that's the case, play him. If he performs poorly, he might lose his starting job to Tyrone Tracy. Singletary will step up!

Meanwhile, with Zack Moss potentially out with an ankle injury, Brown is a must-play player no matter what defense he's facing.

Austin Ekeler should also be a flex play for many. He'll likely see more than 50% of snaps as he gets healthier and continues to add a ton of yards per attempt in both rushing and receiving.

Running Backs To Sit in Week 6

9. J.K. Dobbins, Los Angeles Chargers

10. Antonio Gibson, New England Patriots

J.K. Dobbins has added below three yards per carry over the last two games. It won't get any easier against an underrated Broncos defense.

On the other hand, Antonio Gibson was thought to take over as the Patriots' starting running back. Instead, he rushed just six times and made one catch.

Wide Receivers To Play in Week 6

11. Wan'Dale Robinson, New York Giants

12. Jalen Tolbert, Dallas Cowboys

13. Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills

Wan'Dale Robinson has seen at least eight targets in all but one game this season. He's not averaging the most yards per catch, but the volume is there. He's worthy a look especially in PPR.

Jalen Tolbert also just added seven catches on ten targets with a touchdown against the Steelers last week as the No. 2 receiver. With Brandin Cooks still out, Tolbert is a play against the Lions.

Finally, if Khalil Shakir is active and starting, you've got to play the No. 1 receiver of the Bills, even against the Jets. The coaching change mid-week, in the middle of the season, could backfire on the Jets.

Khalil Shakir is in a great spot to step up in Week 5. If you're starting him in fantasy, make sure you're tailing his props too

Wide Receivers To Sit in Week 6

14. Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts

15. Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay Packers

With Anthony Richardson likely back under center, it's a hard pass on Josh Downs, who had produced at a crazy level with Joe Flacco under center.

Dontayvion Wicks has also earned 20 targets in his last two games but has come up with just seven receptions. I'm over it.

Tight Ends To Play in Week 6

16. Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers

17. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears

I suggested playing Tucker Kraft last week, and he came through with multiple touchdowns. Keep playing him.

I was also very impressed with Caleb Williams last week overall. Cole Kmet only grabbed three catches on four targets but still managed 57 receiving yards. With so many tight ends inconsistent, Kmet should at least continue to put up these types of games moving forward.

Tight Ends To Sit in Week 6

18. Cade Otton, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

19. Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens

20. Zach Ertz, TE, Washington Commanders

Zach Ertz has produced no more than 38 receiving yards in four of five games. Meanwhile, Mark Andrews and Cade Otton have taken massive steps backward this season. You can cut them.
