Bold NFL Predictions for the 2025 Season: Player Awards, Rookies, and Playoff Teams
The 2024-2025 season had many unexpected outcomes heading into the year.
The San Francisco 49ers went 6-11 and finished in last place in the NFC West, despite many analysts predicting they would reach the Super Bowl the previous year.
Meanwhile, the New York Jets were expected to be one of the best teams in the NFL behind Aaron Rodgers' comeback. However, the Jets fired their head coach, Robert Salah, very early in the season and never recovered.
The Washington Commanders got a breakout performance from their rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels, and the Steelers and Sam Darnold played well enough to lead the Minnesota Vikings into the playoffs after letting Kirk Cousins go.
I could go on and on. But that's how unexpected the 2024-2025 season was.
That said, what are some bold outcomes that can happen in 2025? I've listed some thoughts and the odds for each prediction below.

Tyler Warren Wins Offensive Rookie of the Year (+2500) Click here for the complete NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award Odds
Most football fans are excited to watch Cam Ward at Tennessee and Ashton Jeanty with the Raiders. But they're all forgetting about Tyler Warren, who is +2500 to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year right now.
Warren added 104 receptions for 1,233 receiving yards. He also hauled in eight receiving touchdowns as a tight end.
Yet, he also added 26 rushing attempts for 218 yards and four touchdowns. Plus, he completed three passes for 35 yards and another touchdown at Penn State.
He's a jack of all trades. He can make insane grabs and can be utilized in so many ways.
While Anthony Richardson still needs to develop, Warren will likely be heavily used in the offense. Head coach Shane Steichen loves using tight ends in his scheme. Plus, Indianapolis doesn't have a star-studded tight end group, meaning Warren could end up as the starter on Day 1.
Shedeur Sanders Won't Play in 2025
Shedeur Sanders will likely be one of the highest-selling jerseys in the NFL season. But there's a reason he was drafted in the 5th round (144th overall).
There were already rumors that he was unprepared for draft meetings. Many also suggested that he doesn't take responsibility for his wrongdoings and simply blames everyone and everything instead of himself.
That said, Sanders is currently the No. 5 quarterback on the Browns' roster.
Deshaun Watson won't be ready to start the first game of the season. But Sanders will have to compete against Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel even to start.
Ultimately, the Browns have had to deal with a lot of public relations stuff after signing Watson to a deal. They've also added guys like Johnny Manziel and Baker Mayfield in the draft, who are other examples of players with a lot of ego coming out of college.
Mayfield grew as a person, while Manziel didn't. However, none of these quarterbacks succeeded or developed in Cleveland.
Don't expect the Browns to give Sanders a chance if he's unprepared and not ready.
The Pittsburgh Steelers Will Have a Losing Season (Under 8.5 Wins -140)
The Pittsburgh Steelers haven't had a losing season since 2003. Behind Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh has at least gone .500 in every single season. They've had a 22-year run of avoiding a losing season, which is easily the longest streak in the NFL.
But this year's team has me a bit worried.
The Steelers haven't signed Aaron Rodgers yet and currently have a quarterback room of Mason Rudolph, Will Howard, and Skylar Thompson.
Meanwhile, Najee Harris is no longer with the Steelers. They'll likely turn to rookie Kaleb Johnson as the starting running back for the Steelers.
Plus, is it safe to have George Pickens and DK Metcalf on the same team? These guys are always getting into fights and showing a lot of emotion. It's good to have one at the wide receiver position, but having two could become an issue. There could be a lot of complaining on the sidelines. It can get toxic.
The Steelers aren't looking too hot. And even if Rodgers signs with the Steelers, does that really move the needle after his performance with the Jets?
