Micah Parsons Next Team Odds: Eagles, Patriots in the Mix if Cowboys Decide to Trade Parsons

Micah Parsons shocked the NFL world on Friday afternoon when he demanded a trade away from the Dallas Cowboys on social media. He took to X to update the public on the failed contract talks and his frustration with owner Jerry Jones, and now his 2025 season is in jeopardy.

Parsons is in the final year of his rookie deal, slotted to receive $24 million as part of the club option for 2025. He wants a long term extension before suiting up in September, but negotiations have reportedly stalled despite Parsons already reporting to training camp.

Just because Parsons wants to be traded, doesn't mean he will be. But if the Cowboys got really fed up with the situation and decided to make a deal, where would they send him? Let's take a look at the latest Micah Parsons Next Team odds, as well as the Cowboys' chances if they are able to hold on to the superstar linebacker.

Dallas Cowboys -300

Obviously, these odds are baked in with the Cowboys as the current favorite. The official market is for Parsons' first snap of the 2025 season, and as he's still under contract with Dallas, it will more than likely be them. Just because Parsons wants to be traded and is claiming he won't play a down at AT&T Stadium, the ball is still in Jerry Jones' court.

The Cowboys have been through this before with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, Zack Martin, and more. Prescott ended up getting franchise tagged twice before finally getting his $60 million a year deal, and the Cowboys front office may want to try the same maneuver with Parsons, which he is trying to escape away from as soon as possible.

As of right now, the odds say Parsons has a 75% chance to still suit up for the Cowboys this year, regardless of his comments to the contrary. This is not the first salary dispute in the NFL, and it won't be the last. But based on their history, the Cowboys ownership will do anything to avoid dealing out a major contract in this spot.

Philadelphia Eagles +1000

It's really no surprise to see the Eagles in the mix here. GM Howie Roseman has a talent for grabbing up disgruntled stars and bringing them to Philadelphia on a team-friendly deal. They've gotten great defensive additions over the years by taking a chance on players other teams don't want to touch.

Obviously, everyone would love to have Parsons here, but the Eagles probably have some of the best trading power if the Cowboys decided to make a deal. The asking price would likely be massive though, how much is Roseman willing to break up from his Super Bowl winning roster?

New England Patriots +1000

Mike Vrabel would love an athletic linebacker to head up his new defense in New England. Vrabel is in his first year back as a head coach after parting ways with the Titans a few years ago. He returns to Foxborough where he was a star player for eight seasons, and formed a strong bond with Bill Belichick that heavily influenced his early coaching style.

The Patriots' last linebacker star was Matthew Judon for a few seasons, but they haven't seen any star power like Micah Parsons for years. Vrabel would probably be willing to give up a lot to acquire a talent of this caliber.

Dallas Cowboys 2025 Season Odds

The Dallas Cowboys season already wasn't looking too hot, but this latest blow has made it even worse. They are +550 to win the NFC East, way back in third place behind the Eagles and Commanders. Dallas is also +190 to make the playoffs, and -240 to miss, something that has continued to slide with the news. Without Parsons heading up this defense, and a lot of changeover on the offensive side, the team chemistry is expected to be lacking, and doesn't bode well for a playoff run.
