Joe Burrow is back healthy and leading a loaded Bengals offense, while Jayden Daniels is looking to build on a breakout rookie year in Washington. Patrick Mahomes remains a constant presence in the race, even after a quieter statistical season.

NFL MVP Odds Breakdown
Lamar Jackson (+550) Click here to get the best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
Lamar Jackson leads the pack here at +500 odds, coming in with a 16.7% chance to win it before the season even starts. He won the award back in 2019 and 2023, and nearly had a third last season before Josh Allen snatched it away late.
Jackson accounted for over 5,000 yards from scrimmage and 45 total touchdowns a year ago, but it wasn't enough to take the Ravens deep in the playoffs. They fell in the divisional round to the Bills, and the quest for the Super Bowl continues to elude Jackson.
Josh Allen (+600) Click here to get the best odds at BetMGM Sportsbook
Josh Allen is coming off his first NFL MVP trophy in 2024 after coming up just short in the previous several seasons. He slightly edged out Lamar Jackson, though there was much debate about who deserved it. Ultimately, Allen and the Bills took down the Ravens in the playoffs, validating his case in the eyes of some.
Allen threw for 28 touchdowns and added 12 more on the ground, amassing a career-high six against the Rams late last year. He'll look to repeat again this year, but more importantly wants to take the Bills to the Super Bowl after many disappointing exits in the AFC Championship.
Joe Burrow (+600) Click here to get the best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook
Joe Burrow had an MVP-caliber season a year ago, but wasn't really in the mix due to the lack of team success. The Bengals started an atrocious 0-4, and spent the rest of the season trying to make a comeback. The offense was stellar but the defense was porous, giving up over 25 points per game and forcing pressure on Burrow.
The Bengals finished 9-8 and narrowly missed the last wild card spot, but Burrow should have a chance at MVP this year if they can tighten up under Al Golden and his notoriously staunch defenses. Burrow still has his weapons in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, and Chase Brown will open up the field with an increased workload this year. The Bengals offense should be scary once again with Burrow in charge.
