6 Minute ReadSuper Bowl Odds: Is it Finally the Bills' Year, or are the Rams Too Powerful with Myles Garrett Trade and Possible Aaron Donald Addition?
The Los Angeles Rams are the clear +550 favorite after reaching the NFC Championship Game and aggressively improving their defense. Buffalo follows at +1000, while defending champion Seattle and a retooled Baltimore team share the third-shortest price at +1200. Kansas City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Detroit complete the first nine teams on the board.
Several traditional contenders carry significant uncertainty. Patrick Mahomes is returning from a major knee injury, Baltimore has replaced John Harbaugh, Seattle lost important pieces from its championship roster and Philadelphia traded A.J. Brown. Those concerns create a rare opening for the Rams and Bills, two talented teams that already came close last season and enter 2026 without an obvious weakness at quarterback.

Super Bowl MVP Odds Breakdown
Los Angeles Rams (+550) Check out these best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
Los Angeles finished 12-5, scored an NFC-high 518 regular-season points and advanced to the NFC Championship Game before losing 31-27 to Seattle. Matthew Stafford returns after winning MVP, while Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams keep one of the league’s deepest collections of offensive talent intact. Stafford also signed an extension through 2027, reducing the uncertainty surrounding his immediate future.
The Rams addressed their defensive weaknesses with three major additions. Myles Garrett arrives after setting the single-season sack record, Trent McDuffie becomes the secondary’s centerpiece and former Chiefs cornerback Jaylen Watson adds another proven cover option. Jared Verse was included in the Garrett trade, but replacing his 7.5 sacks with a reigning Defensive Player of the Year who recorded 23 represents a clear short-term upgrade.
Los Angeles faces one of the league’s more difficult projected schedules and must survive six games against Seattle, San Francisco and Arizona. The Rams also open with four 2025 playoff teams across their first five games. Even so, this is the NFL’s most complete roster, and the possibility of playing Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium strengthens an already compelling championship narrative.
Buffalo Bills (+1000) Check out these best odds at Caesars Sportsbook
Buffalo went 12-5, defeated Jacksonville 27-24 on Wild Card Weekend and suffered another painful postseason elimination with a 33-30 overtime loss at Denver in the Divisional Round. Josh Allen remains the foundation of a franchise that has reached the playoffs in seven consecutive seasons, but he enters his age-30 campaign still seeking his first Super Bowl appearance.
Joe Brady replaces Sean McDermott as head coach, but the transition should be smoother than most coaching changes because Brady has worked closely with Allen since 2022. Buffalo also acquired DJ Moore, who produced two 1,000-yard seasons under Brady in Carolina and gives Allen a legitimate boundary receiver alongside Khalil Shakir and Keon Coleman. The offense already scored 481 points last season, so even a moderate improvement in the passing game could make Buffalo extremely difficult to contain.
The larger questions remain on defense. Buffalo allowed 136 rushing yards per game, fifth-most in the NFL, and new coordinator Jim Leonhard is moving the group into a 3-4 base. The schedule ranks close to the middle of the league by projected opponent strength, while the AFC’s established powers all carry major uncertainties. The combination of Allen, continuity on offense and a potentially weakened conference makes +1000 one of the board’s most attractive championship prices.
Seattle Seahawks (+1200) Check out these best odds at Caesars Sportsbook
Seattle completed a 14-3 regular season by winning seven consecutive games, then dominated San Francisco 41-6, survived Los Angeles 31-27 and defeated New England 29-13 in Super Bowl LX. Sam Darnold completed his career transformation, Jaxon Smith-Njigba led the NFL with 1,793 receiving yards and Mike Macdonald’s defense allowed only 292 regular-season points.
The championship core remains strong, but the Seahawks could not keep the entire roster together. Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III signed with Kansas City, while Boye Mafe, Tariq Woolen and Coby Bryant also departed. Zach Charbonnet is recovering from a torn ACL, leaving first-round rookie Jadarian Price in position to carry an immediate role in a thinner backfield. Seattle must also adjust from Klint Kubiak to new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury.
A Super Bowl hangover is a legitimate concern for a team that no longer has the element of surprise. Seattle also owns the 10th-hardest projected schedule, with challenging stretches against the Chargers, 49ers, Broncos, Chiefs, Bears, Eagles and Rams. The Seahawks remain a genuine contender because Darnold, Smith-Njigba and an elite defense return, but +1200 asks bettors to trust that considerable roster attrition will not change the championship formula.
Baltimore Ravens (+1200) Check out these best odds at Caesars Sportsbook
Baltimore finished 8-9 and missed the postseason after a Week 18 loss to Pittsburgh ended the John Harbaugh era. The Ravens still scored 424 points and finished with a positive point differential, demonstrating that the roster was more competitive than the losing record suggests. Lamar Jackson dealt with injuries and inconsistency, but he remains a two-time MVP surrounded by Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews.
Former Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter takes over as head coach, with 30-year-old Declan Doyle becoming Jackson’s offensive coordinator. Baltimore also signed Trey Hendrickson, brought back Calais Campbell and could regain Nnamdi Madubuike after a serious neck injury. Isaiah Likely departed, creating a loss in the passing game, but the defensive front should be considerably deeper and more disruptive.
The fifth-easiest projected schedule gives Baltimore a realistic path to a major regular-season rebound. The concern is whether a first-time head coach and largely unproven offensive play-caller can immediately handle championship expectations. The roster is talented enough to reach the Super Bowl, but +1200 offers less margin than usual for a team undergoing its largest organizational transition in nearly two decades.
Kansas City Chiefs (+1600) Check out these best odds at Caesars Sportsbook
Kansas City collapsed to 6-11, lost its final six games and missed the playoffs for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era. Mahomes suffered ACL and LCL tears late in the season and is targeting Week 1, but his recovery remains the defining variable behind the Chiefs’ championship odds. Justin Fields was acquired as insurance if Mahomes cannot immediately handle a complete workload.
Kansas City upgraded its running game by signing Kenneth Walker III, who produced 161 yards in Seattle’s Super Bowl victory. Eric Bieniemy also returns as offensive coordinator, while Travis Kelce is back for another season alongside Xavier Worthy and a young receiving group. Walker’s explosiveness should help an offense whose running backs ranked near the bottom of the league in rushing production and explosive-run rate over the previous two seasons.
The defense lost Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson, forcing younger cornerbacks Mansoor Delane and Nohl Williams into larger roles. Kansas City owns the 12th-easiest projected schedule, but the AFC West includes Denver and the Chargers, two teams that reached the playoffs while the Chiefs finished third. At +1600, Kansas City offers brand-name value, but the wager ultimately depends on Mahomes quickly returning to his pre-injury level.
Los Angeles Chargers (+1800) Check out these best odds at Caesars Sportsbook
The Chargers finished 11-6 and earned a second consecutive playoff appearance under Jim Harbaugh, but another offensive collapse ended their season with a 16-3 Wild Card loss to New England. Los Angeles has scored only 15 combined points across its last two playoff defeats, placing enormous pressure on the organization to provide Justin Herbert with a postseason-caliber system.
Harbaugh responded by replacing Greg Roman with Mike McDaniel, whose speed-based passing concepts should unlock a more aggressive version of Herbert. Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt return from season-ending injuries, while Tyler Biadasz, Cole Strange and rookie Jake Slaughter were added to an offensive line that allowed Herbert to absorb a career-high 54 sacks. David Njoku and Charlie Kolar also strengthen a deep tight end group.
The roster is improved, but the schedule presents a major obstacle. Los Angeles faces Buffalo, Seattle, Denver, Kansas City, the Rams, Houston, Baltimore and New England before December, then plays four of its final six games on the road. The Chargers possess enough talent to make a run, but +1800 does not fully compensate for a harder-than-average schedule and a franchise that must prove it can score in January.
Philadelphia Eagles (+1800) Check out these best odds at BetMGM Sportsbook
Philadelphia won the NFC East at 11-6 but exited immediately with a 23-19 home loss to an injury-depleted San Francisco team. Jalen Hurts struggled during the second half of the regular season, while an offense built around Saquon Barkley and A.J. Brown never consistently reached its expected ceiling. Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson considered retirement before committing to return.
The Eagles then traded Brown and rebuilt the receiving corps with Hollywood Brown, Dontayvion Wicks and first-round rookie Makai Lemon. Philadelphia also added Riq Woolen, Jonathan Greenard and A.J. Epenesa, but lost Jaelan Phillips and Nakobe Dean. The defense allowed the fewest yards and second-fewest points in the league last season, so Vic Fangio’s ability to manage those departures will determine whether the unit remains elite.
Philadelphia owns the eighth-easiest projected schedule and remains the most stable contender in the NFC East. The concern is whether replacing a dominant receiver such as Brown with several smaller pieces ultimately lowers the offense’s ceiling. At +1800, the Eagles provide an appealing price for an organization that has won at least 11 games in four consecutive seasons, but the reworked passing game must develop quickly.
San Francisco 49ers (+1900) Check out these best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
San Francisco finished 12-5 despite extensive injuries, defeated Philadelphia 23-19 on Wild Card Weekend and then suffered a 41-6 loss in Seattle. The 49ers reached the Divisional Round without consistently having Brock Purdy, Nick Bosa, Fred Warner, George Kittle and several other essential players available together.
Bosa, Warner and 2025 first-round pick Mykel Williams are expected back, while San Francisco traded for defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa and reunited with linebacker Dre Greenlaw. Mike Evans gives Purdy another proven target alongside Christian McCaffrey and Ricky Pearsall, although Kittle’s recovery from a torn Achilles remains a significant concern. Raheem Morris becomes the team’s fifth defensive play-caller in five seasons.
The 49ers have the seventh-easiest projected schedule, but playing four games against the Rams and Seahawks makes winning the NFC West difficult. San Francisco recorded only 20 sacks last season, the fewest in the league, so improved health must translate into substantially more defensive pressure. The +1900 price is attractive for a team that won 12 games under severe adversity, but its championship path could require multiple road playoff victories.
Detroit Lions (+1900) Check out these best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
Detroit finished 9-8 and missed the playoffs after opening the season 5-2. The offense still scored 481 points behind Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams and Sam LaPorta, but injuries and inconsistent defensive performances prevented the Lions from securing a third consecutive postseason appearance.
The offseason created additional questions. Detroit released Taylor Decker and Graham Glasgow, traded David Montgomery and lost Alex Anzalone and Al-Quadin Muhammad. Isiah Pacheco was signed to complement Gibbs, while first-round rookie Blake Miller is expected to start at right tackle as Penei Sewell moves to the left side. The offensive line must reorganize without two long-standing starters.
Detroit receives the league’s easiest projected schedule after finishing last in the NFC North. The Lions also avoid the Rams, Seahawks and 49ers, creating a favorable path back into the playoffs if their offensive line holds together and the secondary becomes healthier. The +1900 number carries upside because the offensive core remains championship-caliber, but the roster is thinner and less proven than the version that entered last season among the favorites.
Super Bowl Betting Outlook
The Rams deserve favorite status after converting their defensive weaknesses into potential strengths, but +550 leaves little room for injuries or regression across a difficult schedule. Buffalo offers the strongest combination of price, quarterback play and conference opportunity at +1000, especially with Baltimore changing coaches and Kansas City depending on Mahomes’ recovery.
Baltimore and Philadelphia have favorable schedules but substantial transition risk. Seattle remains dangerous, although the defending champions lost too many important contributors to treat +1200 as an automatic value. San Francisco and Detroit are the most compelling longer-priced options, with both benefiting from manageable schedules and the potential for improved health.
