NFL Survivor Pool Predictions, Picks, Strategy for Week 2 Circa Survivor, Splash Contests

Week 1 survivor pools were rocked when the Chargers lost as the biggest favorite, while Jacksonville safely cashed for those who avoided the landmine. Week 2 brings several strong options led by San Francisco, Tampa Bay and Baltimore. Check out the best NFL Survivor picks for Week 2 of the 2026 season.

Best NFL Survivor Pool Picks for Week 2 After First Game Shocker

Week 1 could hardly have gone better for this strategy. Jacksonville rolled Cleveland 34-10, while avoiding the Chargers proved even more important after Los Angeles lost 26-14 to Arizona as a 9.5-point favorite. The upset eliminated 7,585 Circa Survivor entries, or 30.3% of the field, and Yahoo reported the Chargers as the most popular pick on its platform at 32.5%. The $10.3 million in combined Circa entries lost on Los Angeles was the most ever wiped out by one team in a single week at Circa.

That is exactly why survivor strategy has to go beyond simply taking the biggest favorite. Home field, opponent quality, divisional familiarity, injuries, travel, future schedule value and expected ownership all matter. The Survivor Grid also helps identify when a team's best future opportunity arrives, while FairPlay AI adds another layer by estimating each team's actual win probability.

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-8.5) vs. Browns

  • Spread: Buccaneers -8.5
  • Moneyline: -450
  • FairPlay AI Win Probability: 79%
  • Mathematical Best Use Remaining: 1st out of 16
  • Estimated Usage Percentage: 27.7%
  • Future Value: Low

Tampa Bay checks almost every survivor box. The Buccaneers are at home, facing one of the weakest opponents on the board, and this is clearly their best projected use for the rest of the season. The next-best spots are nowhere close, with future games against Carolina, New Orleans and Atlanta carrying much smaller projected spreads.

The Week 1 loss at Cincinnati was far less concerning than the 33-27 final suggests. Tampa Bay did not punt once but lost four fumbles, including three consecutive first-half possessions that turned directly into 21 Cincinnati points. Baker Mayfield still completed 23 of 28 passes, while Bucky Irving averaged 5.6 yards per carry. Cleveland, meanwhile, fell behind Jacksonville 31-0 and eventually lost 34-10, with Deshaun Watson taking five sacks. Browns running back Dylan Sampson has since landed on injured reserve.

There is also a legitimate motivational angle with Mayfield facing the franchise that drafted him No. 1 overall before moving on from him. Mayfield has publicly downplayed the revenge storyline, but the matchup still gives Tampa Bay every reason to be focused in its home opener.

Why Not to Use This Team

Tampa Bay's 27.7% projected usage makes it one of the chalkiest choices of the week, and the four-turnover opener is a reminder that even favorable matchups can become dangerous through self-inflicted mistakes. Still, unlike San Francisco or Baltimore, there is very little reason to save the Buccaneers for later.

2. San Francisco 49ers (-13.5) vs. Dolphins

  • Spread: 49ers -13.5
  • Moneyline: -900
  • FairPlay AI Win Probability: 83%
  • Mathematical Best Use Remaining: 1st out of 16
  • Estimated Usage Percentage: 29.2%
  • Future Value: Very High

San Francisco is the safest raw pick on the board. The 49ers just dismantled the Rams 27-7 in Australia, rushing for 174 yards while holding Matthew Stafford and one of the league's best offenses to seven points. Brock Purdy threw three touchdowns, and San Francisco controlled possession for nearly 34 minutes.

Miami looked like the opposite in its 27-13 loss to Las Vegas. The Dolphins managed only 259 total yards, converted two of 10 third downs and allowed Malik Willis to be sacked five times. They now have to travel across the country to face a San Francisco defense that just suffocated a far stronger offense.

The complication is future value. San Francisco still projects as a 9-point favorite against Las Vegas and an 8.5-point favorite in multiple Arizona matchups, with other favorable home spots later in the season. The Week 2 spread is technically their biggest remaining number, but the four-star future value means there will be plenty of opportunities to use them again.

Why Not to Use This Team

The 49ers are the week's most popular projected pick at 29.2%, and burning an elite future survivor asset this early limits flexibility. There is also some travel variance after returning from Australia, even with the extended rest. San Francisco is the safest selection, but not necessarily the smartest long-term use.

3. Baltimore Ravens (-8.5) vs. Saints

  • Spread: Ravens -8.5
  • Moneyline: -450
  • FairPlay AI Win Probability: 79%
  • Mathematical Best Use Remaining: T-2nd out of 16
  • Estimated Usage Percentage: 6.8%
  • Future Value: High

Baltimore looked every bit like a Super Bowl contender in its 41-23 win at Indianapolis, generating 506 yards while Derrick Henry rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns. The Ravens now return home with a major talent advantage and only 6.8% projected survivor usage, making them a much more contrarian option than San Francisco or Tampa Bay.

The problem is that New Orleans no longer looks like an automatic fade. Tyler Shough threw for 410 yards and three touchdowns in Detroit as the Saints erased a 21-0 deficit and forced overtime before losing 31-30. Chris Olave added 182 receiving yards, showing that the Saints have enough explosiveness to make a favorite uncomfortable if Baltimore starts slowly.

Baltimore also has excellent future utility. The grid projects the Ravens as 10-point favorites against Cleveland later in the season, with another -8.5 spot against Tennessee and several more games above a field goal.

Why Not to Use This Team

New Orleans showed enough offense in Week 1 to introduce real upset variance, and Baltimore is far too valuable later to force into a Week 2 pick. The Ravens are a strong option for anyone seeking lower ownership, but saving them is completely reasonable.

4. Philadelphia Eagles (-7) at Titans

  • Spread: Eagles -7
  • Moneyline: -340
  • FairPlay AI Win Probability: 70%
  • Mathematical Best Use Remaining: 2nd out of 16
  • Estimated Usage Percentage: 12.8%
  • Future Value: Strong

Philadelphia survived Washington 24-22 despite an uneven offensive performance, with Jalen Hurts throwing for 203 yards and three touchdowns without an interception. The Eagles now face a Tennessee offense that managed just 10 points against the Jets and saw Cam Ward finish with 140 passing yards while facing pressure on nearly 70% of his dropbacks.

The matchup is favorable because Philadelphia's defensive front should be able to create the same problems that bothered Tennessee in Week 1. A total below 40 points also suggests the market expects the Titans to struggle to score, which naturally lowers the number of paths to an upset.

There is meaningful future value, though. Philadelphia still has a projected -8.5 spot at Arizona, plus favorable home games against Carolina, the Giants, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis.

Why Not to Use This Team

Road favorites are less desirable in survivor than home favorites, and Philadelphia also lost Landon Dickerson to injured reserve after already showing some offensive-line issues in Week 1. There are safer current options and several good chances to use the Eagles later.

5. Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5) vs. Raiders

  • Spread: Chargers -6.5
  • Moneyline: -340
  • FairPlay AI Win Probability: 61%
  • Mathematical Best Use Remaining: 3rd out of 16
  • Estimated Usage Percentage: 3.3%
  • Future Value: Limited

Los Angeles offers the most interesting contrarian case of the week because almost everyone who trusted the Chargers in Week 1 is already eliminated. The market still views this as a clear bounce-back spot at home, and only 3.3% of remaining entries are projected to go back to them.

But there is a reason the FairPlay AI probability sits at only 61%. The Chargers were flat in essentially every phase against Arizona, scoring just seven points after their opening touchdown drive, turning the ball over twice and generating only nine pressures defensively. Ladd McConkey's chest injury also matters after Justin Herbert's efficiency dropped sharply once McConkey left the opener.

Las Vegas is also a dangerous opponent for a survivor pick. The Raiders beat Miami 27-13, protected Kirk Cousins without allowing a sack and got 147 scrimmage yards from Ashton Jeanty. This is also an AFC West game, adding divisional familiarity to a matchup where the underdog already enters with confidence.

Why Not to Use This Team

Almost everything that survivor strategy tries to avoid is present here. It is a divisional game, the favorite just suffered one of the biggest Week 1 upsets in survivor history, the opponent is 1-0 and playing well, and the FairPlay projection is dramatically lower than the other top options. The Chargers are interesting only as a very low-owned leverage play.

Week 2 Best Survivor Outlook

San Francisco has the highest FairPlay AI probability at 83% and is unquestionably the safest team on paper, but the 49ers have too much future value to automatically burn in September. Baltimore and Philadelphia also have multiple attractive future spots, while the Chargers bring far too many variables after the Week 1 collapse.

Tampa Bay offers the best combination of opponent weakness, home field, an 8.5-point cushion and limited future utility. Cleveland was one of the league's worst Week 1 teams, this is the Buccaneers' best mathematical spot remaining, and using Tampa Bay now preserves San Francisco, Baltimore and Philadelphia for weeks when the survivor board may be much thinner.
