4 Minute ReadSan Francisco 49ers Clear Super Bowl Favorite Ahead of Monday Night Football Contest Against Commanders
San Francisco enters Monday night as the NFL's only remaining unbeaten team outside Kansas City and Minnesota, with a chance to move to 6-0 and create even more separation atop both the NFC West and the futures market. The 49ers are already down to +550, well ahead of Buffalo at +750 and Kansas City at +800.
The most dramatic move has gone in the opposite direction. The Rams opened the season as the Super Bowl favorite but have fallen to sixth on the board at +1200 after dropping to 2-4 and losing several key players to long-term injuries. The next few weeks could determine whether Los Angeles recovers or completely falls out of the championship picture.

San Francisco 49ers +550 Check out these best odds at bet365 Sportsbook
San Francisco enters Monday Night Football at 5-0 after surviving Seattle 32-29 and already owns quality wins over the Rams, Broncos and Seahawks. Brock Purdy has played at an MVP level, while Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle continue to give the offense a reliable foundation despite injuries around them.
The roster is hardly healthy. Deebo Samuel and Nick Bosa are out against Washington, Mike Evans is dealing with rib and Achilles issues and the receiver room has been depleted for weeks. The fact that San Francisco has continued winning through those absences only strengthens the championship case.
Washington comes to Levi's Stadium as a 7.5-point underdog Monday night. A convincing prime-time win to reach 6-0 could push the 49ers even further ahead of Buffalo and Kansas City before another favorable matchup at Atlanta.
Buffalo Bills +750 Check out these best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
Buffalo improved to 5-1 by surviving Las Vegas 33-30, with Josh Allen throwing for 255 yards and two touchdowns while tying Jim Kelly's franchise record for touchdown passes. The Bills have already beaten Detroit and the Rams, giving them one of the stronger résumés in the AFC.
The concern is that Buffalo has made several games much more difficult than necessary. Turnovers and penalties have been recurring issues, and the Raiders were within an onside kick of getting another possession late Sunday.
Buffalo gets a well-timed bye this week, giving DJ Moore, Ed Oliver and several other banged-up contributors additional recovery time. The Bills remain close enough to San Francisco that another strong stretch after the bye could quickly tighten the top of the market.
Kansas City Chiefs +800 Check out these best odds at bet365 Sportsbook
Kansas City moved to 5-0 with a comfortable 22-6 win over the Chargers, continuing an impressive rebound from last year's six-win season. Patrick Mahomes has looked completely healthy following his major knee injury, while the addition of Kenneth Walker III has given the offense much-needed balance.
The Chiefs have now allowed fewer than 20 points in four of five games and once again look capable of winning in multiple ways. Offensive line depth is becoming a concern, though, with Jaylon Moore entering concussion protocol after Sunday's victory.
Kansas City gets one of the biggest games of Week 7 at Seattle. Winning on the road against the defending champions would give the Chiefs another résumé boost and could move them even closer to San Francisco in the futures market.
Baltimore Ravens +950 Check out these best odds at BetMGM Sportsbook
Baltimore remains fourth despite falling to 4-2 with an ugly 13-10 loss at Cleveland. The Ravens have now lost two games they were expected to win, and late-game execution has become a recurring issue.
Lamar Jackson's ankle remains the biggest variable. Baltimore has managed to remain competitive with Tyler Huntley, including winning at Atlanta, but the ceiling of this team changes completely when Jackson is healthy.
The Ravens host Cincinnati next in an important AFC North matchup. A healthy Jackson and a divisional win would quickly stabilize the outlook, but another loss could push Baltimore further behind Buffalo and Kansas City in the AFC hierarchy.
Seattle Seahawks +1100 Check out these best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
Seattle has slipped after consecutive losses to San Francisco and Denver, dropping to 3-3 following a 2-0 start. Thursday's 17-14 defeat at Denver was particularly frustrating because the Seahawks faced a Broncos secondary missing Patrick Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba remains one of the NFL's most productive receivers, but injuries are beginning to accumulate elsewhere. Zach Charbonnet remains sidelined, linebacker Drake Thomas missed Thursday and tight end Elijah Arroyo suffered a shoulder injury that could cost him additional time.
Seattle now hosts Kansas City on Sunday night. That gives the defending champions an immediate opportunity to completely change the narrative, but a third straight loss would make +1100 increasingly difficult to justify.
Los Angeles Rams +1200 Check out these best odds at BetMGM Sportsbook
No contender has experienced a faster fall. Los Angeles dropped to 2-4 after losing 18-16 at home to Arizona, a game the Rams entered as a massive favorite against a Cardinals team missing rookie running back Jeremiyah Love.
The loss itself was damaging, but the injuries were worse. Davante Adams suffered a significant hamstring injury and is expected to miss six to 10 weeks, Poona Ford is out for the season, Kobie Turner is headed to injured reserve and new kicker Blake Grupe suffered a major knee injury in his Rams debut. Myles Garrett is already sidelined with a knee issue.
Los Angeles still has Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, Aaron Donald and enough elite talent to remain dangerous, which explains why the market has not completely abandoned the Rams. The upcoming trip to Las Vegas is now close to a must-win if Los Angeles wants to begin repairing both its playoff position and Super Bowl outlook.
Jacksonville Jaguars +1300 Check out these best odds at BetMGM Sportsbook
Jacksonville's four-game winning streak ended with a 34-31 loss to Houston in London, dropping the Jaguars to 4-2. The defeat was disappointing, but it came after Jacksonville had already collected wins over Kansas City, Philadelphia and New England.
Trevor Lawrence continues to play more consistently than he did early last season, and the Jaguars have shown enough on both sides of the ball to remain a legitimate AFC contender. The defense finally cracked against Houston after being one of the league's strongest units through the opening month.
Jacksonville gets its bye next, which comes at a useful point following consecutive games in London. At +1300, the Jaguars remain one of the most interesting second-tier options behind Buffalo, Kansas City and Baltimore.
Chicago Bears +1500 Check out these best odds at bet365 Sportsbook
Chicago bounced back from its ugly loss at Green Bay by beating Atlanta 31-23, improving to 4-2. Caleb Williams returned and immediately restored the explosiveness that disappeared when he was sidelined.
The Bears have already shown an enormous offensive ceiling this season, including the 59-point performance against Carolina, but consistency remains the question. The defense has also dealt with several injuries at linebacker and in the secondary.
Chicago now gets a major measuring-stick game against New England on Thursday night. A win would move the Bears to 5-2 and strengthen the argument that they belong in the NFC's second tier behind San Francisco.
New England Patriots +1800 Check out these best odds at BetMGM Sportsbook
New England improved to 4-2 with a 26-19 win over the Jets and has quietly become one of the AFC's more intriguing teams. Drake Maye has continued to develop while the defense has carried the Patriots through injuries in the secondary.
The biggest concern remains the offensive line, which has dealt with injuries across multiple positions. Maye has also appeared on the injury report with a shoulder issue, although he was able to practice fully last week.
New England travels to Chicago on Thursday night. A road win against another 4-2 team would give the Patriots their most convincing reason yet to be taken seriously as more than just an early-season surprise.
Minnesota Vikings +1800 Check out these best odds at BetMGM Sportsbook
Minnesota remains perfect at 5-0 after getting a Week 6 bye, yet the Vikings continue to sit well behind San Francisco in the futures market. Their defense has been excellent, while Kyler Murray has gradually become more comfortable operating Kevin O'Connell's offense.
The unbeaten record gives Minnesota plenty of flexibility, but the offense still needs to show it can consistently score with the league's elite teams. Murray has protected the football better recently, while Justin Jefferson remains the unit's centerpiece.
The Vikings return against Indianapolis on Sunday. Minnesota should have another opportunity to extend its unbeaten start before a much more difficult portion of the schedule arrives.
Cincinnati Bengals +1900 Check out these best odds at bet365 Sportsbook
Cincinnati reaches Week 7 at 3-2 after its bye, with a résumé that has been difficult to evaluate. The Bengals have beaten Tampa Bay, Houston and Miami but have yet to produce the type of signature win that would push them into the top championship tier.
Joe Burrow has been productive, but the offense has been inconsistent around him and the running game remains a concern. The defense has made meaningful progress from last season, which is the biggest reason Cincinnati remains relevant at +1900.
The Bengals travel to Baltimore next in one of the week's most important games. Winning there would immediately change the perception of Cincinnati and give the Bengals a direct path back into the AFC North race.
Denver Broncos +2000 Check out these best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook
Denver improved to 4-2 by beating Seattle 17-14 despite playing without Patrick Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga. The defense once again carried the Broncos, holding one of the NFC's better offenses to 14 points even while missing two major pieces in the secondary.
The offense remains the limiting factor. Denver has struggled to consistently finish drives and has leaned heavily on its defense to protect narrow leads, which makes the Broncos more difficult to trust against elite quarterbacks.
Surtain could return when Denver visits Arizona next week, giving the Broncos a strong opportunity to reach 5-2. At +2000, Denver remains outside the true contender group, but its defense is good enough to keep it relevant if the offense takes another step.
