NFL Football, college basketball Feast Week, college football or maybe even the NBA.
These are the sports you expect to take center stage when Thanksgiving rolls around. What you probably didn't expect was for the world to be locked in on whether or not a golfer can hit a Hole-in-One, over his house, on his own private course.
Boredom is a funny thing, and sometimes the best ideas are born from a lack of options. That very well may be the case here as Bryson DeChambeau has enthralled the golf social media space by trying to knock one in over his house.
The series has amassed millions of views in the few days he's been doing it as he sets up every day from the front of his house and tries to fire a shot over his home and into the hole in his backyard. Adding to the drama is the fact that the entire front of his house is covered in windows, so one wrong swing and we're in for some serious cleanup.
The online series has gotten so much hype that in the past few days, offshore sportsbooks have begun to price up odds. Now, you can bet on whether or not DeChambeau will accomplish the feat before Thanksgiving or not. On top of that, you can bet on whether or not he'll break a window in the process.

Bryson DeChambeauHole-in-One Odds
So what exactly can you bet on when it comes to Bryson DeChambeau hitting a Hole-in-One over his house this year? There are currently two markets available. The first is whether or not he will hit one before Thanksgiving, while the second is whether or not he'll break a window while trying.
Hole-in-One Before Thanksgiving? | Odds | Implied Chance |
|---|---|---|
Yes | -150 | 60% |
No | +110 | 47.6% |
DeChambeau is no longer a member of the PGA Tour, but in his entire professional golf career, across a multitude of different tours and events, DeChambeau has just one Hole-in-One to his name. Now, I'm sure he's hit many outside of his time on Tour, but when the lights are on he has just one, and it came in the 2019 Masters.
Here's the thing though, DeChambeau isn't just taking one swing each day and calling it quits. For every day he does the challenge, he adds another ball. So, Thursday, November 21, 2024, was day 10 and he took 10 swings. On the day before Thanksgiving, he'll get 16 tries at it.
Will He Break a Window? | Odds | Implied Chance |
|---|---|---|
Yes | +160 | 38.5% |
No | -200 | 66.7% |
This is where it gets juicy. Is Bryson DeChambeau's wallet going to feel it if he shatters a massive window in the front of his house? No, he just took hundreds of millions of dollars to play on the LIV Tour. But still, I firmly believe everyone who tunes in is just waiting for this outcome to become reality.
Still, sportsbooks don't see it happening. At -200, "No" sits at 66.7% implied probability. "Yes" is currently priced at +160, implying a 38.5% chance.
