2025 US Open Odds to Make the Cut: Will Ludvig Aberg, Dustin Johnson Struggle Early at Oakmont?
We've seen countless interviews and tweets from professional golfers explaining how hard Oakmont is this week.
The last time the U.S. Open was in Oakmont, the cut line was 6-over. In addition, the heavy rain from last week isn't helping the conditions at all.
That said, any golfer who can get to +6 or better likely has a chance to make it into the weekend.
Ultimately, it sounds a lot easier than it will be.
I've added a handful of best bets to consider for golfers to make or miss the cut for this year's U.S. Open at the Oakmont Country Club.

Harris English To Make The Cut (-192)
Harris English has competed in nine U.S. Opens. In those nine events, he's never missed the cut.
Additionally, English came in second at the PGA Championship, the most recent major. He also finished 12th at the Memorial Tournament and has made the cut in eight consecutive events in 2025.
Plus, don't forget that English won the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines earlier this year. He also finished 12th at the Masters.
He's been a consistent driver and is 20th in strokes gained via putting. At -192, there's value on English to cut.
Dustin Johnson To Miss The Cut (-138)
I've seen mixed reactions about Dustin Johnson on the internet this week. While he won at Oakmont in 2016, he's also been absolutely terrible in 2025.
I'm not going to let a win from nine years ago change my thoughts here.
Johnson missed the cut at the Masters and the PGA Championship. He's not in form. After all, he hasn't even really come close in a LIV event this year.
Johnson finished T5 in LIV Golf Singapore and T7 in LIV Golf Mexico City. However, he's had no top-three finishes and hasn't come close to winning an event.
He's already struggled in two majors this year. Oakmont won't be any easier.
Ludvig Aberg To Miss The Cut (+182)
There's no denying Ludvig Aberg's potential and skill. However, he has been extremely inconsistent all year long.
Aberg finished 7th at the Masters, but he missed the cut at the PGA Championship. He's also missed the cut in three different events and withdrew from another where he was going to miss the cut anyway.
Some will point out that he's added a 68 or better in five consecutive rebounds. But that's even more reason to fade Aberg. He's been so inconsistent that it'll all likely catch up to him. After all, he's missed the cut in three of the last five majors. There's value at +182 here.
