5 Minute Read2025 Ryder Cup Odds: USA Remains Favorite at Bethpage Black After Keegan Bradley Removes Himself from Roster
The most patriotic event in golf will tee off exactly one month from today, with the 2025 Ryder Cup set at Bethpage Black on September 26th. Team USA is officially set, with the big news that captain Keegan Bradley will not suit up, instead picking six other golfers around him in the standings.
The American captain had six picks to add to the six automatic qualifiers, and felt he would give his team the best chance if he brought in the hottest golfers from the PGA tour. It was a selfless act, and Bradley will instead coach the team from the sideline and help them put their best foot forward against Team Europe.
The Europeans have won five of the last seven Ryder Cup's, dating back to a 2010 victory. They're also 8-3 since the turn of the century overall. They took the last meeting in 2023 by a wide margin, can the United States squad turn it around this year? Let's take a look at the complete Ryder Cup Odds as the tournament looms one month away

Team USA is still the favorite without Keegan Bradley in the mix, though the odds dipped a bit from -130 to -125. It's still early, and we'll wait for the rest of Team Europe to round out the field next week. But so far, they can thank Scottie Scheffler for the US advantage in the odds. The four-time major champion will be a massive favorite in any of his matches, and is playing red-hot golf as of late.
Many wondered if Bradley would decide to pick himself, but the captain ultimately decided against it. Despite sitting at 11th in the standings, well within the limit of playing for the 12-golfer team, he decided instead to nominate some of his peers that are playing their best. Those guys include Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Ben Griffin, Cameron Young, Patrick Cantlay, and Sam Burns to round it out.
Many speculate that Burns was the final addition, and he was put on the team because of his excellent putting. Bradley believes they'll need him to step up on these tricky Bethpage Black greens, so his selection makes sense. Team USA is desperate to snap their losing skids against Europe and regain a footing in the overall record.

Team Europe isn't fully set yet, with Luke Donald releasing the rest of the lineup on Monday, September 1st. The first six players are confirmed though, automatically qualifying throughout the year. They include Rory McIlroy, Robert MacIntyre, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Rasmus Hojgaard, and Tyrell Hatton.
These odds may narrow further with the final release of the 12-man field, but the US should still retain the slight advantage, largely carried by Scheffler. Team Europe has seen great success in recent years regardless of who sits across from them, winning five of the last seven, often by wide margins.

The Ryder Cup has only ended in a tie twice, once in 1969 and again in 1989. Both teams have seen the tie go to their advantage in history, but it's been nearly four decades since the last instance. However, there's been many close calls, with Europe winning 14 1/2 to 13 1/2 in both 2010 and 2012. Could we see a near tie? The fields are pretty even this year, but we'll need to wait for the rest of the Europe team to come out next Monday.
