Scheffler is the rightful favorite after winning last year’s PGA Championship by five strokes and nearly chasing down McIlroy at the Masters. He finished second at Augusta, one shot back, after a brilliant 65-68 weekend that gave him the best final 36-hole score of the tournament.
That is the cleanest profile in the field: defending PGA champion, world-class iron player, and still producing major-winning form even when he does not lift the trophy. The +480 number is short, but Scheffler has earned that treatment because he rarely beats himself and has already shown he can separate from elite fields in this event.

McIlroy enters with the strongest major storyline after winning the Masters again, finishing one shot ahead of Scheffler at Augusta and keeping his season pointed toward another historic major run. The concern is whether the emotional high from Augusta creates any regression, but the upside is obvious. McIlroy has the driving power to attack Aronimink, the confidence of a major already banked this season, and enough history in this championship to be the top threat to Scheffler.

Young is the biggest riser near the top of the board, and the move is justified. Rahm brings a different kind of value at +1600. His Masters was underwhelming compared to the top of the board, but his LIV form has been strong, with two wins this season and the lead on the LIV money list after his victory in Mexico City. He remains one of the few players in the world with the major-winning temperament, power, and shotmaking to win anywhere when his game is sharp.
The question is rhythm against the strongest full-field major setup. Rahm can absolutely contend, but he needs a cleaner week than he produced at Augusta to close the gap on Scheffler, McIlroy, and Young.

Schauffele is an interesting +2000 because his résumé is stronger than the price. He won the 2024 PGA Championship for his first major and added The Open later that year, proving he can finish on the biggest stages. His recent 2026 results include a T9 at the Masters, T4 at the Valspar, third at The Players, and T12 at RBC Heritage before a poor T60 at the Truist.
That combination makes him a classic rebound candidate. The form is not flawless, but the major profile is still elite, and the number is long enough to respect if the market is overly focused on his most recent start.

DeChambeau finished tied for second behind Scheffler at last year’s PGA Championship, which immediately gives him relevance at +2000. His power can overwhelm major venues when the driver is controlled, and he has already proven he can contend in this championship against the best fields in the world. The concern is health and consistency.
DeChambeau withdrew from LIV Golf Mexico City because of wrist discomfort, and that is not a small note for a player whose entire profile is built around speed, leverage, and force through the ball. If the wrist is right, +2000 is dangerous. If it is not, the price may not be long enough.

Scheffler is the deserved favorite because he is defending a five-shot PGA Championship win and just came within one shot of another Masters title. McIlroy is the clear second choice after Augusta, while Young may be the most interesting form play after a breakout run that has pushed him firmly into the major-contender tier. Rahm, Schauffele, and DeChambeau all carry proven upside, but each has a cleaner question attached.
The early lean is Cameron Young at +1500 as the best balance of price, form, and upside. Scheffler is the safest winner pick, but the number is short. Young’s recent run, Masters contention, and PGA Championship history make him the most attractive value among the top six.
