Scottie Scheffler PGA Tour 2025

2026 BMW Championship Odds: Can Anyone Stop Scottie Scheffler from a Repeat at Bellerive?

The BMW Championship heads to Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis from August 20-23, with Scottie Scheffler once again separating himself from the rest of the betting market. Can the world No. 1 carry his dominant FedEx St. Jude Championship performance into another victory, or will one of the TOUR's other stars stop him in the second round of the FedExCup Playoffs?

2026 BMW Championship Odds: Scottie Scheffler Massive Favorite as Defending Champion & Last Week's Winner

Scottie Scheffler has shortened all the way to +300 after his runaway victory in Memphis, with Rory McIlroy a distant second choice at +1600. Ludvig Åberg and Xander Schauffele are both +1800, while Tommy Fleetwood, Sam Burns and Cameron Young sit together at +2000.

The market is showing renewed confidence in Scheffler after months of close calls finally turned into his second win of the season. He now enters Bellerive not only as the clear favorite but also as the defending BMW Championship winner, creating an opportunity to win consecutive FedExCup Playoff events and repeat as champion of this tournament.

BMW Championship Odds Breakdown

Scottie Scheffler (+300) Check out the best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

Scheffler finally broke through again at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, closing with a 4-under 66 to finish 17-under and win by eight shots. It was his first victory since winning The American Express in his season debut in January and his second of 2026, ending a stretch that featured a remarkable number of near-misses, including five runner-up finishes.

The way he won is what has pushed the market firmly back toward Scheffler. He did not simply edge a strong playoff field, he separated completely from it over the weekend and looked much closer to the dominant version that has controlled the TOUR in recent seasons.

Scheffler also won the BMW Championship last year, so +300 reflects both his resurgence and his history of thriving at this stage of the FedExCup Playoffs. Another win would give him victories in consecutive weeks and make him an overwhelming favorite heading into the TOUR Championship.

Rory McIlroy (+1600) Check out the best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

McIlroy remains the clear second choice despite finishing 66th at the FedEx St. Jude Championship at 8-over, an unusually poor week by his standards. His 2026 season still includes a Masters victory and four top-10 finishes, but Scheffler's resurgence has created an enormous gap between the two at the top of this market. At +1600, McIlroy offers much more upside than the favorite, but he needs an immediate rebound from Memphis.

Ludvig Åberg (+1800) Check out the best odds at DraftKings Sportsbook

Åberg arrives in much stronger form after tying for seventh at the FedEx St. Jude Championship with rounds of 68, 65, 74 and 67. He also finished T7 at last year's BMW Championship, giving him recent success in both the playoff format and this event. At +1800, Åberg is one of the more logical challengers if Scheffler comes back toward the field after last week's dominant performance.

Xander Schauffele (+1800) Check out the best odds at BetMGM Sportsbook

Schauffele also finished T7 in Memphis after closing with consecutive 67s, continuing a season built more around consistency than victories. He has seven top-10 finishes in 2026 but is still searching for his first win, and his most recent BMW Championship appearance resulted in a T28 finish. The +1800 price reflects how frequently Schauffele puts himself in contention, but he still needs to convert one of those strong weeks into a trophy.

Tommy Fleetwood (+2000) Check out the best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

Fleetwood enters at +2000 after another strong showing in Memphis, where he finished T7 at 6-under. He also tied for fourth at the 2025 BMW Championship and has piled up top-10 finishes throughout 2026, even if he has not added another PGA TOUR victory this season. Fleetwood's consistency makes him difficult to dismiss in a 50-player field, particularly after another encouraging playoff opener.

Sam Burns (+2000) Check out the best odds at bet365 Sportsbook

Burns may have the strongest immediate form of anyone behind Scheffler. He finished third at the FedEx St. Jude Championship after firing a third-round 62, and that followed another third-place finish at The Open Championship in July. Burns also tied for fourth at last year's BMW Championship, making +2000 an interesting price for a player repeatedly putting himself near the top of elite leaderboards.

Cameron Young (+2200) Check out the best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

Young has already won twice in 2026 and enters the BMW Championship third in the FedExCup standings, giving him a stronger season-long résumé than several players priced alongside him. His opening playoff event was less convincing, however, as he finished T39 at even par in Memphis after failing to produce a round better than 69. The +2000 price is built around his season-long ceiling rather than last week's form, and Bellerive offers an immediate opportunity to restart his momentum.

BMW Championship Betting Outlook

Scheffler has gone from a vulnerable favorite searching for another win to a +300 favorite coming directly off an eight-shot demolition of a playoff field. The price is extremely short in a 50-player tournament, but the gap between Scheffler and everyone else makes sense after what happened at TPC Southwind.

Burns, Åberg, Schauffele and Fleetwood all finished inside the top seven last week, giving bettors several in-form alternatives at much larger prices. McIlroy remains the biggest name chasing Scheffler, while Young has already shown enough winning upside this season to remain dangerous at +2000. For now, however, the central question in St. Louis is simple: was Memphis the beginning of another Scheffler run, or can somebody prevent the world No. 1 from going back-to-back?
