Will Zalatoris 2024 Masters Odds, Betting Preview, and Predictions

Golf's most iconic event, The Masters, is quickly approaching. Augusta National Golf Club is one of the most beautiful, as well as challenging, golf courses played each year, bringing together the world's best golfers to compete for the coveted green jacket and a hefty purse.

We've still got over a month until the opening tee times get underway on April 11th, but it's important to check in on updated PGA Tour betting markets for outright winner odds. Here, we'll focus on Will Zalatoris and his projection in the outright winner market, while comparing him to players favored inside of the top-ten.

PGA handicapper Matt MacKay is back to give his latest analysis surrounding Zalatoris and how to approach his value in the outright betting market entering the 2024 edition of The Masters.

We're getting the best odds on Will Zalatoris to win his first Masters at +4000 on Caesars Sportsbook. This is great value considering how the 27-year-old American has performed in two previous events at Augusta.

In 2021, making his debut, the California native wound up finishing alone in second-place behind Hideki Matsuyama, despite finishing three strokes lower in the final round at Augusta. Zalatoris went -4-under-par in the second round, before going -3-under-par in his final two rounds, but it was one stroke shy of catching Matsuyama to force a playoff, as the Japanese native scorched the field on Saturday with a ridiculous -7-under-par performance.

Now, as Zalatoris returns from a surgical procedure that fixed his back, while keeping him out of most events in 2023, he's showing steady improvement each week he's competed in 2024. Currently, Zalatoris is in contention to win outright at The Genesis Invitational, brandishing precise irons and finding his rhythm with the putter.

At +4000 odds, oddsmakers are discrediting how he's performed at Augusta, while he was forced to withdraw from the event in 2023 due to his back injury. Zalatoris is clearly comfortable competing at this difficult track, relying on a strong driver, accurate ball-striking, and a putter that can be streaky, which is the primary reason why he doesn't have more outright wins on the PGA Tour.

Let's stake a unit on Zalatoris to win outright after finishing runner-up in 2021 and T6 in 2022, as he'll look to avenge his former shortcomings on golf's biggest stage in 2024.
