Blaney is the sportsbooks' favorite at +1200 or an implied 7.7% chance. This a change from last week when Blaney was tied with Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott at the top of the market. So what changed? Bettors backed Blaney in a major way.

Over the last seven days, 44.4% of bets have been placed on Blaney. To put that into context, Joey Logano is second with 22.2% of bets and Corey Lajoie is third with 11.1% of bets. So, bettors are certainly expecting a strong start to the year for Blaney.

Ryan Blaney only has seven career wins and didn’t have any in 2022. However, he does race well at Daytona. He has two second-place finishes and a fourth-place finish at the Daytona 500. He’s also won in Daytona at the 2021 Coke Zero Sugar 400. So it’s easy to understand the love despite his lack of a winning record. Could this be the year that Blaney starts off the season with a victory?
