TGL Betting: Latest Odds and How to Bet on Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links on FanDuel

TGL Betting: Latest Odds and How to Bet on Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links on FanDuel
TGL kicked off in style last week, with The Bay Golf Club dominating New York Golf Club in the first match. Now, Tiger Woods steps up to play in the new league for the first time, as his Jupiter Links Golf Club takes on Los Angeles Golf Club.
We haven't seen much of Tiger Woods in recent years, as he plays a light schedule due to injuries. While this won't get his competitive juices in the same way majors do, he is the ultimate competitor and the TGL format gives him a chance to trash-talk his opponents, something he loves to do.
Despite Tiger Woods leading his Jupiter Links team tonight, they come into this one as underdogs. Let's look at the odds for this one, and why FanDuel Sportsbook is the best place to bet on the TGL.
Jupiter Links GC vs Los Angeles GC TGL Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook
Here are the latest odds for tonight's game between the Jupiter Links GC and Los Angeles GC.
- Los Angeles GC (-163)
- Jupiter Links GC (+125)
When you look at the two teams, there is no surprise these odds are the way they are. We don't know what Tiger Woods can bring at the moment, despite this format obviously being far easier on his body. In addition to the concerns around Woods, his playing partners are Max Homa and Kevin Kisner. Homa is still a very good player and has plenty to offer, but it remains to be seen what Kisner can bring to the team.
There are no such questions when it comes to the Los Angeles Golf Club. Leading the team is Collin Morikawa, and he is backed up by high-flying youngster, Sahith Theegala, and veteran, Justin Rose, who is still more than capable of playing his part.
Head to head, Los Angeles Golf Club are just too good, despite Tiger Woods' obvious desire to win.
TGL Format
TGL is new to everyone and if you didn't watch the opening match last week, you might not know too much about what the players will face this evening. Here is a quick guide.
League Format
TGL uses a points-based system, that provides the winner with two points and if you lose, but make it to overtime, you still walk away with 1 point. Each team plays each other in a round-robin format, in the hope of reaching the playoffs.
Match Format
Each TGL match is played over 15 holes. 9 holes are dedicated to "Triples" (3 vs 3) and the remaining 6 holes are "Singles" matches, where each player will go head-to-head with an opponent.
The "Triples" format is alternate shot, which means if Tiger Woods was to tee off for Jupiter Links, then one of Kevin Kisner or Max Homa would hit the next shot, and this will repeat until the match is over.
Each hole won is worth one point.
In "Singles", one player goes head-to-head with their opponent on one hole, and then on the next hole we will see two new opponents face off.
Who is Missing From Los Angeles GC and Jupiter Links GC?
Only three of a team's four players will play on any given week, with one player sitting. This is normally based on a player's schedule, as TGL looks to exist alongside the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, rather than compete.
Tommy Fleetwood will sit for Los Angeles Golf Club this week as he plays in the Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour.
Tom Kim is one of the brightest young players in the world of golf, and he will be a big miss this week for Jupiter Links, as he instead tees it up at the American Express event on the PGA Tour.
Where to Watch TGL?
ESPN has won the rights to show TGL on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN+.
