Atlanta Drive GC vs New York GC TGL Odds via FanDuel Sportsbook
Here are the latest odds for Atlanta Drive GC vs New York GC.
- New York GC +105
- Atlanta Drive GC -135
It is no surprise to see Atlanta Drive as favorite considering how much New York struggled in week one, and Justin Thomas' team will hope to lead his team to a first victory of the season.
Patrick Cantlay and Billy Horschel join Justin Thomas in the Atlanta GC lineup, while New York has a strong lineup of their own tonight. Led by Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler, and Cameron Young, will look to have a big impact on their team's fortunes this week.
TGL Format
Here is everything you need to know about the TGL format.
League Format
TGL uses a points-based system, which provides 2 points for the winner, and if you are on the losing team, but lose in overtime, you can also walk away with 1 point. Every team will play each other in a standard round-robin format, and the goal is to reach the playoffs.
Match Format
Each TGL match is played over 15 holes. 9 holes are dedicated to "Triples" (3 vs 3) and the remaining 6 holes are "Singles" matches, where each player will go head-to-head with an opponent.
The "Triples" format is alternate shot, which means if Justin Thomas tees off, then one of Patrick Cantlay or Billy Horschel would hit the next shot, and they will then continue in order until a hole is over.
Each hole won is worth one point.
In "Singles", one player goes head-to-head with their opponent on one hole. So tonight, Justin Thomas may go up against Matt Fitzpatrick, and one they have played out their match, Patrick Cantlay vs Rickie Fowler may face each other on the next hole, and so on.
Who is Missing From Atlanta Drive GC and New York GC Respectively?
Every team has four players, but only three play on any given week, which means each time, at least one player will be rested.
Lucas Glover is sitting this one out, as he takes a break after missing the cut at last week's American Express. Often players will be rested so they can play in that week's PGA Tour or DP World Tour event, but that is not the case with Glover this week.
Xander Schauffele played in week one for New York, and like Glover, he's taken a complete break, rather than skipping TGL to play on the PGA Tour.
Where to Watch TGL?
ESPN has won the rights to show TGL on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN+.
TGL Betting Odds
Here are the odds for each team to win TGL in its inaugural season.
TGL Outright Odds
- Los Angeles GC +280
- Boston Common Golf +380
- The Bay GC +430
- Atlanta Drive GC +450
- New York GC +500
- Jupiter Links GC+650
Outside of Jupiter Links who have arguably the weakest team in the league, Atlanta Drive and New York GC are the two longest-priced teams in the TGL Outright odds. This suggests these two teams are slightly weaker than their opponents, and that was certainly the case in week one, for New York GC. They were well beaten by The Bay GC on opening night, but can they bounce back against another team that is projected to potentially struggle?
