The Champions League league phase comes to a dramatic close on Wednesday afternoon, with all 36 teams kicking off simultaneously at 3:00 p.m. ET. With the new format in place, the stakes could not be higher. The top 8 teams in the table will automatically qualify for the Round of 16 and earn a valuable rest period, while teams finishing 9 through 24 will be forced into a knockout playoff to fight for the remaining eight spots. The bottom 12 will see their European campaigns end immediately.
At the very top, Arsenal and Bayern Munich have already done enough to lock up automatic qualification and are not even listed on the odds board. Arsenal sit alone at the summit with a perfect 7-0 record and 21 points, and they remain +360 to win the competition outright. Behind them, the picture is far more chaotic.
Entering Wednesday, eight teams are tied on 13 points, occupying places from 6th through 13th. That logjam means wins, goal differential, and even total goals scored could all decide who makes the top 8 and who gets pushed into the knockout round. With several traditional European powers sitting right on the bubble, this final matchday has the feel of a true elimination round disguised as group play.

Champions League Top 8 Finish Odds
Tottenham (-145) Check out these best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook
Tottenham are currently fifth with 14 points, giving them a slight edge over the pack of 13-point teams. Still, nothing is guaranteed. They are -135 on the road against Frankfurt, and the math is simple: a win almost certainly secures top 8 status. A draw, however, likely drops them into the knockout round depending on other results.
Man City (-125) Check out these best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook
City are in a strange spot. Despite being a -450 home favorite against Galatasaray, they sit 11th in the table due to goal differential. Their recent form has been shaky, including a surprising loss to Bodø/Glimt last week and dropped points domestically. Expect urgency and aggression here. City likely need not just a win, but a big win, to avoid relying on tiebreakers.
Barcelona (-650) Check out these best odds at Caesars Sportsbook
Barcelona are technically ninth right now, but the market clearly expects that to change. They host Copenhagen and are massive -700 favorites to win the match, which mirrors their -650 odds to finish top 8. Take care of business at home and they should leapfrog into the automatic qualification spots without drama.
Chelsea (+140) Check out these best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook
Chelsea are the most fragile of the big names. Sitting eighth for now, they head to Naples as roughly +110 underdogs against Napoli. A win likely keeps them in the top 8. A draw almost certainly does not. With so many teams chasing from below, Chelsea probably need all three points to avoid the knockout round.
