Will Vini Jr. Score in Third-Straight Match for Brazil vs. Scotland on Wednesday Night?

Brazil faces Scotland on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. ET at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, with Group C still carrying major knockout-stage implications. Brazil has four points through two matches after a draw with Morocco and a win over Haiti, while Scotland still has a path to advance if it can pull off a major upset.

Vinicius Jr. has scored in both Brazil matches so far and now gets another chance to build his Golden Boot case. Brazil is a massive -300 favorite, and Vinicius is +350 to score first, +105 to score anytime, and +600 to score two or more goals.

Vinicius Jr. Golden Boot Odds - Top Goalscorer Breakdown

Vinicius is back at +3300 to win the Golden Boot after scoring two goals through Brazil’s first two matches. That keeps him in the race, but it also shows how much work he still has to do with Lionel Messi sitting at five goals and Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland already at four.

The Golden Boot case for Vinicius depends heavily on Brazil’s tournament length. He can score against Scotland and still remain behind the leaders, so the real question is whether Brazil can make a deep knockout run and give him enough matches to keep stacking goals. A quarterfinal exit probably leaves him short, while a semifinal or final run would give him the volume needed to make +3300 interesting.

The other issue is Brazil’s talent sharing. Vinicius is the most explosive player in the attack, but Brazil does not funnel every scoring chance through him the way Argentina does with Messi or Norway does with Haaland. Neymar, Endrick, Matheus Cunha and other attacking pieces can all take goals away from him, which makes his path harder even when Brazil is winning.

Can Vinicius Jr. Score Against Scotland?

Vinicius scoring in a third straight match is very realistic at +105 anytime. Brazil should have the ball for long stretches, and Scotland will have to deal with his speed on the left side, especially if Brazil gets the early control expected from a -300 favorite.

This is also a good matchup for Vinicius because Scotland cannot simply overcommit to him for 90 minutes. Brazil has too many other threats, and even if Neymar is eased in or not used heavily, the attention on Brazil’s central attackers should create room for Vinicius to attack isolated defenders. That is the version of the match where his anytime price looks very playable.

The first goalscorer price at +350 also fits the script if Brazil starts aggressively. Vinicius has been one of Brazil’s most direct players through the first two matches, and if the game opens with Scotland sitting deep, Brazil’s first goal could easily come from a quick left-side attack, a cutback, or a second-ball chance created by his pressure.

Vinicius 2+ Goals Odds (+600)

The 2+ goals market at +600 is the most important prop for his Golden Boot case. One goal keeps him alive, but two goals would move him to four for the tournament and put him level with Mbappe and Haaland before Brazil reaches the knockout stage.

That matters because this race is already moving faster than usual. Messi, Mbappe and Haaland have all delivered multi-goal games against inferior opponents, and Vinicius now needs his own spike performance to close the gap. Brazil is expected to score, and if its team total sits near a multi-goal range, Vinicius getting two is not a wild outcome.

The challenge is that Brazil’s goals may be spread around. Cunha has already been involved, Endrick is capable of taking late chances, and Neymar’s return would add another finisher and set-piece presence. Vinicius needs a game where Brazil’s attack tilts toward him, not just a comfortable team win.
