When Will The New iPhone 18 Be Released?

When will Apple release the iPhone 18? Explore the latest release-date odds and how expectations differ across the first three months of 2027.

iPhone 18 Release Date Odds: Will Apple Release Newest Phone Before April 2027?

Apple’s standard iPhone 18 is the focus of a release-date market leaning heavily toward March 2027. The September 9 snapshot lists a 76% chance of release before April, compared with 19% before March and just 7% before February. More than $3.49 million has traded across the market.

These deadlines overlap, so the percentages should not be added together. A January release would satisfy all three, while a March release would satisfy only the April deadline. The contracts concern the baseline iPhone 18, meaning an iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max release would not settle them. The prices reflect market expectations, not an Apple-confirmed launch date.

Next iPhone Release Date Odds Breakdown

Before April 2027: 76%

The April deadline carries the strongest market support, placing the emphasis on the standard iPhone 18 reaching the public by the end of March. Its chart has settled around the mid-to-upper 70% range after larger swings in late August.

The gap between this contract and the 19% price before March is especially revealing. Subtracting the two displayed figures suggests roughly 57 percentage points of market-implied probability concentrated in March itself. That is an approximate reading of separately traded contracts, but it explains why March stands out more clearly than a broad “early 2027” window.

Before March 2027: 19%

This contract requires a release by the end of February. Its substantially lower price shows that traders are allowing for an earlier arrival without treating it as the leading scenario. The chart has generally held near the high teens or low 20% range since late August.

An earlier announcement would not necessarily be enough. The market concerns a public release, making the distinction between a product unveiling and actual availability important. A February presentation followed by a March release would miss this deadline while still qualifying for the April contract.

Before February 2027: 7%

A release by the end of January remains the longest shot among the three displayed deadlines. The 7% price places relatively little market confidence behind the earliest window, particularly compared with the much stronger support for availability before April.

The current picture therefore favors March, while leaving room for either an earlier arrival or a later release. Apple’s eventual availability announcement will determine the outcome; until then, the clearest signal is the substantial pricing gap between the February and March release windows.
