Money in the Bank remains one of WWE's most consequential annual events because the winners of the men's and women's ladder matches receive contracts guaranteeing future world championship opportunities. Those contracts can be cashed in at virtually any time over the following year, creating storylines that can extend all the way toward WrestleMania.
The 2026 edition features five matches at the Smoothie King Center. Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight has been announced as the opening match, while the two six-person ladder matches and Stephanie Vaquer's Women's World Championship defense provide several possibilities for major storyline developments later in the night.

WWE Money in the Bank Full Card and Betting Odds
Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight: World Heavyweight Championship
- Roman Reigns: -900
- LA Knight: +500
Reigns is the largest favorite on the card despite some late movement toward Knight. The champion had been priced as high as -1500 before moving to -900, while Knight has shortened to +500.
The storyline resumed after Reigns defeated Penta in Mexico City and Knight attacked the champion afterward. Their history stretches back to Crown Jewel 2023, when Reigns retained the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Knight during his initial rise into the main-event picture.
WWE has already confirmed that this match will open Money in the Bank. That positioning creates the possibility for the result to influence the rest of the night, particularly with the men's briefcase still waiting to be claimed.
Bron Breakker vs. Penta vs. Kevin Owens vs. CM Punk vs. Trick Williams vs. Je'Von Evans: Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
- Bron Breakker: -200
- Penta: +200
- Kevin Owens: +200
- CM Punk: +900
- Trick Williams: +900
- Je'Von Evans: +2500
Breakker has become one of the biggest market movers entering the event, climbing from around -110 to -200. His combination of age, presentation and existing connections to the world-title picture makes him an obvious candidate to carry the briefcase for an extended period.
Penta and Owens are the primary challengers at +200. Penta is coming directly off a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity against Reigns, while Owens holding the contract could immediately create intriguing possibilities involving Sami Zayn, Reigns and other established rivals.
Punk is attempting to become a three-time Money in the Bank winner, but his ongoing issues with Owens could prevent either veteran from reaching the briefcase. Williams and Evans are the longer shots, although both provide WWE with an opportunity to accelerate the rise of a newer main-roster star.
Roxanne Perez vs. Lash Legend vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Sol Ruca vs. Lola Vice vs. Jacy Jayne: Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
- Roxanne Perez: -400
- Lash Legend: +200
- Tiffany Stratton: +300
- Sol Ruca: +1200
- Lola Vice: +1200
- Jacy Jayne: +1400
No Money in the Bank market has moved more decisively than the women's ladder match. Perez has gone from approximately -150 to -400, making her a significant favorite over a field that previously had Lash Legend closer to the top of the market.
Perez winning would immediately create another storyline inside The Judgment Day. Liv Morgan is challenging for the Women's World Championship on the same card, meaning Perez could leave New Orleans holding a contract that allows her to pursue a championship held by her own stablemate if Morgan wins.
Stratton provides the most experienced alternative. She has already won Money in the Bank once and successfully used the contract to become world champion, while Legend's dominant presentation keeps her firmly in the second tier of contenders. Ruca, Vice and Jayne enter as substantial long shots.
Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan vs. Becky Lynch: Women's World Championship
- Stephanie Vaquer: -400
- Liv Morgan: +200
- Becky Lynch: +500
Vaquer enters as a strong favorite to retain the title she regained from Morgan in Chile on September 12. Lynch served as the special guest referee for that match, helping establish the tension that eventually developed into this three-way championship fight.
A Morgan-Lynch No. 1 contender match failed to produce a clear challenger after interference and chaos involving The Judgment Day. Vaquer responded by asking to face both women, creating a Triple Threat Match in which she does not need to be pinned to lose the championship.
The match becomes even more interesting because of its potential connection to the women's Money in the Bank result. If Perez wins the briefcase earlier in the night, WWE immediately has the option of teasing or executing a same-night cash-in involving Vaquer, Morgan and The Judgment Day.
Oba Femi vs. Bronson Reed
- Oba Femi: -400
- Bronson Reed: +250
Femi has been positioned as one of WWE's most protected rising stars since reaching the main roster, with Brock Lesnar responsible for his only major singles setback. That booking is reflected in the -400 price against Reed.
Reed gives him a very different physical challenge and brings The Vision into the equation. Paul Heyman and the rest of the group have been intertwined with Femi's recent story, creating obvious possibilities for outside involvement even with Femi heavily favored.
This matchup could ultimately be more important for Femi's long-term trajectory than the result itself. He continues to be presented as a future world-title contender, and another major victory would keep that progression moving toward WWE's biggest events.
WWE Money in the Bank 2026 Betting Outlook
Breakker and Perez are the two clearest favorites to leave New Orleans with briefcases, but the ladder format creates considerably more uncertainty than a traditional singles match. Breakker at -200 and Perez at -400 have both moved substantially from their earlier prices, suggesting the market has become increasingly confident in those two outcomes.
The championship markets are even more one-sided. Reigns sits at -900 and Vaquer at -400, while Femi is also -400 against Reed. That leaves the ladder matches, particularly Penta and Owens at +200 in the men's field, as the areas where the odds still reflect multiple realistic storyline directions.
Money in the Bank also creates an unusual situation where winning one match can immediately affect another. The men's World Heavyweight Championship match opens the event, both briefcases will be available during the show, and the women's title match has direct Judgment Day connections to Perez. Even with several heavy favorites, the structure of the card leaves plenty of room for New Orleans to produce a major change to WWE's championship picture.
