PGA Championship Odds: Frenzy Of Bets On Rahm Following Memorial Victory
Following his victory in the Memorial Tournament this weekend, the Spanish sensation Jon Rahm has been the subject of a flurry of betting activity to win the first major of the year, the PGA Championship.
In the 24 hours since his victory 'Rahmbo' has taken 12.9% of all bets on August's event, that's quite a leap for a golfer who had taken under 3% of bets in the previous 90 days preceeding the event.
The manner of Rahm's victory was impressive and many bettors believe that this will be the European gets off the mark with his first major, something we've been waiting on since he burst on the scene a couple of years ago.
Rahm has now moved into second favorite with some books, with BetAmerica offering +1400 odds for the 25-year old winning in Harding Park, with the shortest odds available at just +900.
Rory McIlroy is still considered favorite, with his best odds being +1000, and as short at +700. Following behind Rahm is a run of 6 Americans, including Tiger Woods at +2500.
