PGA Championship Odds: Massive Bet Placed On +2700 Shot
PGA Championship Betting Odds
There’s been plenty of movement at the top of the PGA Championship betting market as online bettors get their money down hours before the first major of the year gets underway. One of the most noticeable moves has been Brooks Koepka shortening from +1400 to +1100, and becoming the favorite in the market. Brooks’ Major record is enough to convince anyone he’s a good PGA Championship bet, but his ball striking last week will also encourage a few shrewder bettors to get involved. Koepka’s odds are as short as +900 with some sports betting sites.
Another person to shorten in the market over the last couple of days have been Justin Thomas, last week’s winner has tightened from +1200 to +1100, but like Koepka, his PGA Championship odds are as short as +900 with some online bookmakers.
We reported yesterday that Xander Schauffele had been the most backed golfer this week, and the money coming for the American has meant his odds have been cut from +2200 to +2000 in the last two days. However, he’s +1800 with a handful of operators.
With these three having their odds slashed at the top of the market, there are a few others where bettors can now get bigger odds. Rory McIlroy is one whose odd have been pushed out over the last two days. McIlroy is now the third-favorite in the PGA Championship betting market, and can be backed at +1400, he was +1300 at the beginning of the week.
Jon Rahm has been touted by a lot of handicappers heading into the week, however, Rahm’s PGA Championship odds have been pushed out from +1300 to +1500. There’s also been very little support for Bryson Dechambeua, Bryson’s odds have gone from +1400 to as big as +1800.

PGA Championship Betting
As mentioned, we highlighted the top five most wagered golfers just yesterday, but the biggest bet to date on the PGA Championship has been on a golfer who hasn’t been talked about too much.
The biggest PGA Championship bet we’ve seen has been on Patrick Cantlay winning the PGA Championship at +2700. When you are betting big amounts, it makes sense to check Oddschecker as Cantlay is +2200 with some bookmakers.
Cantlay comes into the competition playing pretty good golf, but wasn’t one who jumped off the page when we initial looking at the betting market.
We’ve seen quite a few chunky bets placed on both Brooks Koepka, Xander Schauffele and even Daniel Berger.
