PGA Championship Odds: Bettors Back Jordan Spieth To Bounce Back

Despite finishing the opening day of the 2020 PGA Championship tied for 109th, with a score of 3 over par, there has been unusually high backing of Jordan Spieth to turn things around and win the PGA Championship.
Since the close of the first day's play Spieth has been the second most-backed player, taking in 5.31% of bets, narrowly behind Brooks Koepka, who has taken in 6.28% of bets.
It's understandable that Koepka has public support, on -4 he's only one shot behind the leaders Brendon Todd and Jason Day. Something reflecting with the 30-year old being the +500 favorite ahead of the second day teeing off.
More bizarre is the popularity of Spieth with bettors. He Texan is now available at a best price of +35000, and despite having major pedigree, he's currently 8 shots back in his quest to win the career slam.
