1. Webb Simpson – 9.9% (Starting -6)
TOUR Championship Best Odds: +1100
TOUR Championship Worst Odds: +900
Simpson has been one of the most consistent golfers on Tour this season with eight top-10 finishes and two wins. At 6-under, he starts Friday’s first round in 4th place, six shots off the lead.
2. Dustin Johnson – 9.3% (Starting -10)
TOUR Championship Best Odds: +190
TOUR Championship Worst Odds: +175
Last week’s runner-up comes into Friday as the leader with a 2-stroke advantage on 2nd place (Jon Rahm -8). His unbelievable putt on 18 last week ended up being a moot point, but he’s had an unbelievable Tour season so far in 2020.
3. Tony Finau – 7.29% (Starting -2)
TOUR Championship Best Odds: +6000
TOUR Championship Worst Odds: +4200
The first head scratcher on the list comes at No. 3 with Tony Finau. Finau starts at 2-under and T-16. Finau is yet to win on TOUR this year, but has seven Top-10 finishes.
4. Sungjae Im – 5.95% (Starting -4)
TOUR Championship Best Odds: +8000
TOUR Championship Worst Odds: +5000
Im has had a great season but has had a tough time as of late. He’s missed the cut in two of his four tournaments and finished T-56 last week at the BMW Championship. His lone win came before the break in play, and his best finish since play resumed is T-9.
5. Rory McIlroy – 5.43% (Starting -3)
TOUR Championship Best Odds: +2500
TOUR Championship Worst Odds: +2000
McIlroy is a two-time FedEx Cup champ, including a victory last year, but he’ll have some work to do if he’s going to try and make it back-to-back titles. He’s starting seven strokes off the lead and T-11. Whether he’ll even play or not is still up in the air due to the recent birth of his child.
6. Daniel Berger – 4.61% (Starting -4)
TOUR Championship Best Odds: +2800
TOUR Championship Worst Odds: +2200
Berger has four top-3 finishes since play restarted, including a win in the Charles Schwab Challenge. He has an uphill battle ahead of him, starting six strokes back, but if anyone has the game to make up the difference, it’s Berger.
7. Xander Schauffele – 4.24% (Starting -3)
TOUR Championship Best Odds: +2500
TOUR Championship Worst Odds: +2200
Schauffele is yet to win on Tour this year but has been consistently good since the restart. He has placed in the top-25 in every event he’s played except one. He’s a long way back, but has a chance to make a run with good play.
8. Justin Thomas – 4.17% (Starting -7)
TOUR Championship Best Odds: +550
TOUR Championship Worst Odds: +500
At 7-under, JT is well within striking range and has the game to make a push for his second FedEx Cup championship. He has three wins in 2020 and his 69.18 scoring average is fifth on Tour.
9. Bryson DeChambeau – 4.09% (Starting -4)
TOUR Championship Best Odds: +2200
TOUR Championship Worst Odds: +2200
DeChambeau started the restart as hot as any golfer in the world but has struggled of late. He missed the cut at the Northern Trust before a 50th – place finish last week.
10. Jon Rahm – 3.94% (Starting -8)
TOUR Championship Best Odds: +280
TOUR Championship Worst Odds: +275
Outside of Finau, this may be the most shocking placement on the list. Rahm won last week, defeating Dustin Johnson in a playoff thanks to a 60-foot birdie putt, and starts in second place on Friday. He’s the No. 2 golfer in the world but only the 10th most backed to win the event.
