2020 Masters Odds & Betting: Sportsbooks give Masters favourite Bryson DeChambeau a 9% chance of career grand slam

Bryson DeChambeau has taken a short break from competitive golf to head back to the lab and work out how he can hit his bombs even further. The American has promised more speed and distance at Augusta which will likely cause a stir with golf loyalists on social media.

The sportsbooks believe DeChambeau will find the perfect cocktail of speed and distance next month, as they’ve installed him as the betting favorite to win the Masters. DeChambeau is currently +850 to win the Masters with William Hill (deep-link review), but he is as short as +750 with other online bookmakers.

One online bookmaker has offered members +1000 that Bryson DeChambeau will complete the career grand slam before he ends his career. These odds imply that they think the crazy scientist has a 9.1% chance of winning the four majors.

Call us crazy, but he think this is pretty good value for someone like DeChambeau. He’s obviously already got one in the bag, and he’s 27, so unless he pulls his back out swinging too hard, he has plenty of time to win the other three.

Bryson DeChambeau’s best finish at the Masters came last year when he finished T29, this best PGA Championship finish was this year with a T4. However, the Open Championship is likely to be the tricky one for Byrson. His best finish to date in the Open is T33.

2020 Masters Odds

As previously mentioned, Bryson is the betting favorite to win the 2020 Masters at +850, he’s the only player under +1000. Dustin Johnson, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy all sit at +1200 to win at Augusta.

Plenty of part time bettors will go to the window with Brooks Koepka given his major dominance in recent years. Koepka is +2000 to win the Masters.

The sportsbooks are split on Tiger Woods, he’s as short as +2200 with one bookmaker which makes him the same shorter odds than Ptrick Reed, Patrick Cantlay and Collin Morikawa. However, another sportsbook as the golfing legend at +3500, which is the same price at Bubba Watson, Tony Finau nd Tyrrell Hatton.

Bryson DeChambeau has been the most wagered player to win the Masters in October, just 11% of bets have been placed on the American. Tyrrell Hatton’s good form has made him the 2nd most wagered player in the Masters odds market, he’s accounted for 10% of bets placed.

Bubba Watson is a distant third with 4% of bets, closely followed by Xander Schuffele.

Interestingly, the biggest bet we’ve taken on the 2020 Masters in October has been on a Sergio Garcia victory.
