2020 Masters Odds & Betting: Bryson DeChambeau The Most Popular Pick Among Bettors and Oddsmakers

Earlier this season, Bryson DeChambeau passed a massive career hurdle, winning the US Open at Winged Foot by six strokes as the then 26-year old won his first ever major.

Now, just a week away from the 2020 Masters in Augusta, Georgia, bettors and oddsmakers are backing DeChambeau once again, this time to continue his strong play and win his first ever green jacket.

Since 2016, DeChambeau has played The Masters three times, missing the tournament in 2017. His best finish came in 2016, when he closed in 21st position. He came in 38th in 2018 and 29th in 2019. His track record at Augusta isn’t great, but much improved from the player he used to be and is coming off his best season on Tour yet. He’s the sixth ranked golfer in the world and the longest hitter on Tour.

As we covered earlier, Bryson DeChambeau is the favorite among sportsbooks with just over a week until play gets started at Augusta National.

At +800, he’s a decent bit shorter than the second favorite, Jon Rahm, whose best prices is currently +1100. Bryson’s +800 odds imply an 11.1% chance he gets his first ever green jacket next Sunday, while +1100 gives Rahm an 8.3% shot at getting his.

Last year’s Masters winner and five time Masters champion, Tiger Woods, is going to have some work to do next weekend, according to oddsmakers. He currently sits at +3500, good for the 13th shortest odds on the board, tied with Tony Finau.
