With The Masters set to start tomorrow morning it's clear that Bryson DeChambeau-mania is in full effect. The Californian has been the favorite for The Masters since winning the US Open but his price has shortened in recent days. In the past 24 hours his price is now as short as +700 with some books, although he is available at a best price of +800.

Bryson DeChambeau most backed for The Masters

We reported yesterday that Bryson DeChambeau was the most-backed golfer to win the green jacket this year and that has continued over the past 24 hours. Although the gap has closed slightly and Rory McIlroy has surged into being the second most wagered on player, having been fourth over the preceeding 7 days.

Over the past 24 hours a huge 7.75% of all bets have been on the US Open champion. Most interestingly is that 9.99% all the handle, money bet on the event, has also been DeChambeau. Despite very short odds it's clear that bettors haven't been turned off betting on the big hitter, and are betting in very large stakes.

Masters Bettors backing Justin Thomas

Another golfer experiencing a surge of bets in the past day has been Justin Thomas. In the week preeceding yesterday he was the tenth most backed player, only accounting for 3.12% of all bets, he is now the third most backed, with 4.82% of all bets so far, and 6.69% of handle.

It's worth noting that Justin Thomas is one of those who has been backed by our golfer handicapper Geoff Fienberg in his picks piece for the Masters here.

Masters bettors cool on Brooks Koepka

Yesterday we reported that Brooks Koepka was the second most backed player behind Bryson DeChambeau in the previous seven days but over the past 24 hours the tables have turned with Koepka slipping to eighth, with other selections proving more popular.
