Coco Gauff’s French Open 2021 Odds
It’s that time of year again. The 2021 French Open gets underway this Sunday at Roland-Garros and one of the American players to keep your eyes on is 17-year old American Coco Gauff. Gauff is just the 41st ranked player in the world, but she has potential to eventually become one of the upper-echelon players.
Could the French Open be Gauff’s coming out party? She famously defeated Venus Williams in straight sets in the 2019 Wimbledon. In the end, she fell to eventual champion Simona Halep, but the world was officially introduced to Cori “Coco” Gauff.
Now, with the 2021 Women's French Open just around the corner, Gauff has the ninth shortest odds in the women’s field and looks like she could potentially be positioned to make a run through the tournament.

As you can see by the odds above, using odds comparison is key when betting on the 2021 French Open. Putting $100 Coco Gauff would win you $3,000 at FanDuel, but only $2,200 at bet365. $2,200 is no small sum, but it’s a difference of $800 between the two sportsbooks.

Coco Gauff’s French Open Record
Coco Gauff has only ever really appeared in one French Open tournament. In 2019, she attempted to qualify for the French Open through open qualifiers but didn’t make it. In 2020, she made her French Open debut and was eliminated in the second round.
French Open 2021: Coco Gauff Preview
It’s tough to really predict how Coco Gauff will play in the 2021 French Open. The women’s field is extremely tough and she doesn’t have much experience in this tournament or on the clay. This surface can be a make-or-break deciding factor and she hasn’t shown much to suggest she is a top-flight clay player.
At +3000, there is a ton of good value on the 17-year old American, but I think there are other players on the board that make more sense. If you are looking for an option with some longer odds, but don’t want to venture out as long as +3000, Naomi Osaka is currently +1700 to win the 2021 French Open. Great odds for one of the best players in the world.
