2021 Palmetto Championship Odds

What a week of golf! The PGA Tour was thrown into the sporting spotlight after Jon Rahm powered his way into the lead on Saturday, only to be taken out of the Memorial Tournament due to a positive COVID test. Luckily, the rest of the PGA Tour players weren’t impacted by the positive test, and set up an amazing showdown between Patrick Cantlay and Collin Morikawa.

It’s the week before the US Open, therefore we have a slightly lesser field at the Palmetto Championship, however, there’s still plenty of opportunities to make some money.

Both Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka are expected to play at the Palmetto Championship, and will be joined by Englishmen Tyrrell Hatton and Matt Fitzpatrick.

The 2021 Palmetto Championship replaced the cancelled RBC Canadian Open and will be placed at Congaree Golf Club.

Dustin Johnson is the current world number one, therefore there’s no shock to see him sitting top of the Palmetto Championship odds board.

We will have a full break-down of this weeks PGA Tour odds further down the article, however, the favorites in the Palmetto Championship odds market are below.

Palmetto Championship Favorites:

Dustin Johnson 8/1

Brooks Koepka 8/1

Tyrrell Hatton 16/1

Matt Fitzpatrick 18/1

Sungjae Im 20/1

Tommy Fleetwood 20/1

2021 Palmetto Championship: Course Breakdown

Course: Congaree Golf Club

Location: Ridgeland, South Carolina

Date: June 10-13

Par: 71

Yardage: 7,655

Greens: Bermudagrass

Congaree Golf Club was built with the sandbelt courses of Australian in mind, and will suit the big hitters on the PGA Tour.

The 4th hole is a long par-5, measuring at around 645 yards. There are also two par-4’s on the front nine longer than 520 yards.

With the Australian feel to the course, around the green game and scrambling will be just to key assets to focus on this week for the 2021 Palmetto Championship.

Unfortunately there’s not much course data to go off to help us in the Palmetto Championship odds market, however, we expect more information to trickle through over the week as practice rounds commence. 2021 Palmetto Championship: Key Stats Needed For DFS Strategies

  • Driving Distance

  • Around The Green

  • Scrambling

  • Par 4 Scoring

  • Shots Gained Putting

Until we know how the PGA Tour will set up Congaree Golf Club we can’t be certain of what we should look out for when betting on the PGA Tour this week.

However, the PGA Tour are normally very conservative when playing a course for the first time, therefore there’s a chance this could turn into a putting contest.

This course will play very firm and fast, therefore even good drives could run off into the wasteland. From here it’s a bit of a lottery on how you will fair, a lot of the time the shot will be relatively easy, however, on occasion it will get a terrible lie, and be obstructed.
