Wimbledon 2025 Odds Preview: Alcaraz, Sinner, Djokovic, and Rising Stars
The Wimbledon 2025 tournament is now underway at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, and Carlos Alcaraz almost had an early exit on Monday. Which stars will shine in the third major of the year? Jason Radowitz analyzes the Men's Wimbledon odds as the early rounds commence.

Carlos Alcaraz began the 2025 Wimbledon as the odds-on favorite on the Men's side in the 2025 Wimbledon. However, he needed five sets to defeat Fabio Fognini in the first round of the tournament yesterday.
Fognini broke serve many times in the fourth set and was super crafty despite being 38 without a tour-level win this year.
In Alcaraz's defense, it was super hot, and the match was 4.5 hours. He was drained, and that led to many errors from Alcaraz. He also double-faulted nine times and faced 21 break points, while making 62 unforced errors. Alcaraz explained he was nervous at the beginning of the match, and he even acknowledged that it got to him.
I'd have a hard time betting on Alcaraz as the favorite right now. Still, there are plenty of good options on the board with some value.

Carlos Alcaraz (+120)
Carlos Alcaraz struggled in his first matchup against Fabio Fognini. He had a shaky start but rallied back to escape a Round 1 upset.
By the fifth set, Alcarez played more aggressively and was smarter. That led to him earning a 6-1 final set and the victory. Ultimately, he has won this tournament in back-to-back years and just beat Jannik Sinner in the French Open earlier this year. He's nearing a 20-game win streak on grass courts. But mentally, something feels a bit off.
Jannik Sinner (+170)
Sinner is still the ATP's World No. 1 player. While he lost to Alcaraz at the French Open, he still battled and had several opportunities to defeat Alcaraz earlier in the match.
He didn't take advantage when he needed to, and then the momentum completely shifted in Alcaraz's favor.
Anyway, Sinner looked much more composed than Alcaraz in the first round after knocking off Luca Gardi. Sinner has all the tools to win Wimbledon this year. He's got the serve, power, and can compete against the top players in the tournament field.
That said, he's 0-5 against Alcaraz this year. But right now, it's hard to imagine Alcaraz even getting far enough to play Sinner in this tournament.
Novak Djokovic (+600)
You can't rule out a 7-time Wimbledon champion. He's still one of the best tennis players ever on grass. His experience is unmatched, but the bracket draw is a bit concerning for the 38-year-old. On July 6th, he'd have to face a hometown favorite in Jack Draper if both advance that far.
That's where Djokovic likely falls.
Sleeper: Jack Draper (+1600)
If I like Draper to beat Djokovic, then I like Draper at +1600 to win it all.
The only time Draper faced Djokovic on grass was in 2021, when Draper actually won the first set against Djokovic. A lot has changed since 2021. Draper is getting closer to his prime, while Djokovic is aging.
This year, Draper has earned the Queen's Club Championship. He also defeated Hulter Gune in the Masters 1000 at Inidan Weels. In addition, he's 28-8 overall on the year and is 3-1 on grass so far this season.
With the crowd behind him, expect Draper to put on a show. He's my sleeper.
