The Sox come into this game feeling good about their last night as they were able to knock off the world championships and hand the Astros their first opening-day loss in a decade. The main reason for that was starting pitcher Dylan Cease, who was nearly untouchable as he allowed just one hit in six shutout innings.
The Sox had a disappointing campaign a season ago, but they are confident they can bounce back and make some noise in the AL Central, which appears to be a wide-open division this year. Today the Sox will send veteran right-hander Lance Lynn to the mound, who will be raised with slowing down this dynamic Astros offense.

Houston, meanwhile, comes into this year at the top of the league as they look to defend their World Series championship. The Astros have been one of the best teams in baseball over the last seven seasons, and they are the favorites to win it all again this year. They will look to recover from a lackluster performance last night, where they scored just two runs on four hits.
