St. Louis Cardinals vs. Atlanta Braves Pick

1u - Charlie Morton o1.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-139 @ Caesars) Bet $139 to collect $239 Caesars has the best odds; click here to bet

Charlie Morton isn’t getting any younger. The 39-year-old righty is entering his 16th season. He is slowly trending downward, so I want to take advantage of these types of lines while they still exist. Let's get into this one!

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Atlanta Braves Prediction

Morton faces off against a red-hot Cardinals offense. St. Louis has been starting games on fire. In just the first four innings, they have scored five, three, and nine runs. Morton will likely go five innings or so, and all we need is for him to allow two. In 31 games last year, he allowed 2+ earned runs in 22 of them. A hit rate of 71% last year is great.

St. Louis hit Morton well last year; in his lone start against them, he allowed four earned runs in five innings. Morton just isn’t the pitcher he used to be. Atlanta is coming off a stinker game where they only scored one run. It’s not often that they have back-to-back poor offensive outings.

If you don’t have this as an option, I also like Cardinals o1.5 team total for the first five innings. Bets like this are completely worth the juice to me. I thought this would come out at 2.5 for plus odds, so seeing 1.5 had me ready to submit the play right away. Let’s remain hot in baseball and keep things on a high note. Let's roll!
