New York put together a great revalues season last year, but they burned out early in the playoffs when they went down to the San Diego Padres in round one. They will have revenge on their minds this year and would love nothing more than a big road win tonight over one of the best teams in all of baseball. The Dodgers have star power all over the Diamond, headlined by Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. Both of these guys will likely be Hall of Famers when they decide to hang up the cleats.
The Dodgers are once again seen as one of the favorites to come out of the national league and compete for a World Series championship. They are dealing with some injuries early in the season to their rotation, but one guy who has been healthy this year is Dustin May. That is an encouraging sign for the Dodgers, as May dealt with a severe injury a season ago. He has been dynamite this year, supporting an era of just 1.47 and a WHIP of 0.76. Opposing May will be south law David Peterson, who is 0-2 on the young season with an era of 4.92.
I like the Dodgers to bounce back at home tonight. Los Angeles has underperformed early in the year, and they come into this game off of a tough series vs. the Cubs.
