This season, they have a 17-3 record to the No Run First Inning (NRFI), with an 11-1 NRFI record while playing away. This should work in favor of Rea and our team.

After Rea, Matthew Boyd will take over for the Detroit Tigers, facing yet another dismal first-inning offense. Boyd has a perfect 3-0 record to the NRFI through three starts this season and has already shown success with road NRFIs. Yelich, Winker, and Adames have struggled significantly against Boyd in their careers, going a combined 2-14 (.142 batting average) with no home runs, no extra-base hits, and a total of five strikeouts.
