Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Kansas City Royals Prediction
Arizona enters this game as -270 favorites for a reason. Zac Gallen is pitching and facing a struggling Royals team. Arizona is tied in this series 1-1, and this game decides who wins it. Arizona should not be dropping the series to the Royals, and I think Arizona gets an early lead and doesn’t look back.
In Zac Gallen’s last three starts, he has thrown 20.2 innings and hasn’t allowed a single earned run. The guy is absolutely dominating. Kansas City bats have seen him in 30 at-bats and have compiled just five hits; that’s a .167 average. Gallen should continue his dominance.
We’re also banking on the bats for Arizona, helping us out. Ryan Yarbrough is starting for Kansas City and he’s not great. The guy has a 7.62 ERA and isn’t used to starting games, and this is his first start of the year. He now gets an Arizona team that is hitting an impressive .273 against lefties, not ideal for his first start of the year.
Much like last night when we got unfortunate luck, we have the better bats, the better pitcher, and the better bullpen. Kansas City has the second-worst bullpen in terms of ERA. Let's hope that today if we can get an early lead, we can maintain it. We need a lead after five innings to win outright. Let's roll!
