Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies Prediction
Philly won the National League last season and the Dodgers the year prior; both of these teams are talented enough to go on a run come the fall; it will all be about who can get hot at the right time. The Phillies come into this game on a small two-game losing streak and support an overall record of 15-15 on the awesome. Philly started the year a bit sluggish, but since then, they have turned things around.
The big news of this game is the return of former MVP Bryce Harper. Harper was one of the main reasons that Philly won the NL a season ago, as he went on a legacy run in the postseason. The amazing thing about his return is how quickly it was done. Harper will begin the year as a DH and hope to return to the field soon.
Los Angeles will send Southpaw Julio Urias to the bump to try and limit Harper and the Phillies tonight. Urias has struggled a bit to start the year with a record of 3-3 and an era of 4.41. Philly will send fellow southpaw Matt Strahm to the mound, who has been outstanding this year with a record of 2-2 and an era of 2.31.
The value here on Philly is far too good for me to pass up. I feel as if this is a great bounce-back spot for a Phillies team that has struggled to swing the bats in their last couple of games. Urias has not looked like himself to begin the year and is being overvalued tonight, in my eyes. On the flip side, Strahm has been ultra-impressive, and I feel as if the books are undervaluing him in this spot. Let’s get rich tonight!
