I know this juice is steep, but this bet shouldn’t even be available. I had this marked at 5.5 all night last night, and I’m shocked we got it for a hit less. As we always say, we only drink the juice if we lose. Let's just choose to win this one.
Matt Boyd has allowed 5+ hits in four straight games. In his most recent game against the Baltimore Orioles, I had the pleasure of watching him allow eight hits in person. Much like Baltimore, St. Louis crushes lefties. While Baltimore hits .272 against lefties and got eight hits off of Boyd, St Louis hits .280 and should definitely be in line to hit 5+ off of him.
Teams like the Milwaukee Brewers and Cleveland Guardians have gotten 5+ hits off of Boyd while both failing to hit .230 against lefties. St. Louis is four of six on hitting this number against lefties this year. The two misses were Clayton Kershaw and Patrick Sandoval, who are both superior pitchers to Boyd.
