The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres will meet up to renew one of the oldest rivalries in baseball on Sunday night from Petco Park. These two teams have and some great battles throughout the years. Los Angeles leads the all-time series 510-416, and they have been the more successful team, especially over the last few years.

San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction
It has felt as if the Padres are the little brother of the Dodgers, but San Diego feels as if this is their year, and they have finally caught up to the Dodgers. On paper, you could sit down and make a legitimate argument that the Padres are the more talented team. This is a loaded lineup that has some of the best arms in baseball when healthy. As it stands today, the Dodgers are the second favorite to come out of the NL and the Padres the third, courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Tonight we will see a solid pitching matchup as the Dodgers hand the baseball to Southpaw Julio Urias. Urias is coming off of an all-star season but has been up and down this year. Urias is 4-3 on the season with an era of 3.86. Opposing Urias will be fellow all-star Joe Musgrove.
Musgrove has enjoyed a lot of success since putting on a Padres uniform and knows that he will have a tall task shutting down this Dodgers lineup tonight. Musgrove will be making just his third start of the year and is coming off a rough performance in Mexico City, where he allowed seven runs in just 3.1 innings.
I am going to trust the home team and back the Padres tonight. I feel as if Musgrove will come out in dominant form tonight after his poor showing last week. This is a guy that, when right, is as good as anyone in baseball.
On the flip side, I like the way that the Padres have been swinging the bats and feel as if they can make some mouse off of Urias early in this game. Let’s close the week with a winner!
