This is the juice worth drinking. I had this opening at 4.5, and we’re getting a gift here. Zac Gallen is truly one of the best pitchers in the game and should dominate this Marlins lineup. Allow me to get into why I think that is.
Miami is significantly worse against right-handed pitching. Against left-handed pitching, they are elite, hitting .293 against lefties. Against righties, they only hit .233 and now face arguably the hottest one in Gallen. Miami has faced 23 right-handed starters this year and has only gotten 6+ hits against the starters in nine of those games.
Gallen has already faced this Miami team this year. He pitched 6.2 innings and allowed only two hits. This was no fluke; the lifetime bats against Gallen are eye-opening. These Miami bats have faced Gallen 60 times in their career and have only garnered seven total hits; that’s a brutal combined .117 average.
Gallen is under this number in four of his last five, with his only miss being against a Texas Rangers team that hits righties at almost a .270 clip. This number shouldn’t be available, and we will gladly drink the juice on the under! Let's roll!
